Thanks Blackmonscraft,

I plan on doing a series with a few other characters from Alice and maybe putting them up in my home.  I wouldn't feel comfortable selling my work as I don't feel confident with it  Undecided

PookyLaRoo,  Thanks for the lovely comment!

Yeah, that was supposed to be his elbow but now that I look at it, it looks strange and his elbow should be lower down anyway so I need to remove the "notch".  Thanks  Grin

Looks really good.  The one thing that I would fix is the hat brim.  It looks thin, to the point that you have to look closely to see that there is one.  Maybe just make the green a little thicker.

And the tongue definitely needs some shading.

But, it's a great painting, all in all.  Excellent work.

Thanks Pinokeeo, you're right, the brim does look strange... I'll change it a bit

Thanks everyone!! You're all very sweet

Looking great Smiley Only thing that looks a bit off to me is that there's no shadow in his mouth. It's got less depth than everything else. It's as if his tongue is attached to his lips, because there's a lot of light on the entire tongue instead of gradually getting darker further back... Mind you, I might be pointing out the wrong aspects of why the tongue is off, because I'm not an artist, it just strikes me as disconnected from the perspective Smiley

All in all it's a really cool painting though, I love the look of the cups in particular, and the swirly blue steam(?)

Thanks, I think you're right, I hadn't really looked at the tongue and I should add some shading in it, THANKS  Grin

I was so excited about my Mad Hatter that I had to post it even though I am not even close to being done with it.

Here it be....

Any suggestions on what to add or fix?

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Dress? Skirt? Need some advice on how to finish this! on: July 27, 2009 11:45:16 AM
I like it more as a skirt!!

You can wear it with a white tube top or "wife-beater" or with a frilly dressy top to make it more dressy.

My vote is SKIRT!
