1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / White Sewing Machine 940 on: August 24, 2008 04:30:59 AM
My dad just found me a White brand sewing machine Model 940, I think it's from the 70's.

Does anybody have any type of manual about this sewing machine? Or any information in general about it??

Any help would be greatly appreciated  Smiley

Maybe someone has asked this before in your previous melted bead posts BUT have you ever tried ironing the beads? I know there are certain little kits that you can stick the beads onto little plastic pegboards that are in shapes like hearts and stars, etc. and then you iron them.  I used to make them with my grandma all the time.

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / EASY frames (good for dorm rooms!) on: January 26, 2008 11:00:52 AM
My dad was working on a project with particle board so I cut up a bunch of squares to use as picture frames.  I just covered them with leftover fabric I had lying around.  I just stapled the fabric to the back and tacked ribbon to the back as well to hang them.  Then I simply tacked the pictures on.  It's so easy to change the pictures and I can configure the squares in cool designs.  I just have them in a line right now to fill up some space in my dorm room!

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Archie Comics Bag for my sister on: January 26, 2008 10:40:11 AM
I get all my fabrics at this discount store in Maine called Marden's... it's all surplus and salvage stuff so everything is $3/yard.  I found the Archie fabric in some leftovers.

This bag is a little too crazy for MY liking but my sister is crazy and she loves it, which is all that counts!

I still can't post pictures yet so you'll have to follow the links  Sad
