1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Elizabeth Beeton on: February 08, 2006 07:55:34 PM
So I thought I would combined two cool patterns to make one sassy winter outfit for myself!

"Elizabeth"--the scarflet thing made by Kate Gilbert which was so much fun to knit. Just one episode of Project Runway and tad! New piece of clothing!

"Mrs. Beeton"--from Winter 2005 Knitty--very nice to knit as well, although I would have made a bit more space between the ruffles.

I should have checked the buttons beforehand--one slipped out--I need to tighten the buttonholes on Elizabeth!

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Circular Needle solution on: June 17, 2005 01:41:00 PM
Help!

I'm constantly trying to deal with my circular knitting needles. Anyone have any good storage solutions for them?

Let me know!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Starry Anouk on: June 17, 2005 01:10:05 PM
I decided to fete my friend Coco's baby girl Olivia with a special knitted treat.

I was tired of doing baby sweaters and thought I would give Kate Gilbert's sweet anouk pattern a whirl (at knitty.com). But I decided to ditch the flowers and add happy little stars instead with matching star buttons.

I like the results and I hope you do too!

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / kitty bed on: November 26, 2004 05:42:02 PM
I decided to take a break from holiday scarf and hat knitting to make something for my cat Minnow, so I made her a cozy kitty bed called Kitty Pi! It is also my first attempt at felting. I made it from old odd balls of yarn I'd had for a few years.  It turned out too big even though I did throw it in the wash three times, but I just pulled down the edge. I still like it a lot. And Minnow really likes it and spent the majority of the morning curled up in it. I had to boot her out for a moment to get a picture of it.

I was so delighted with it that I decided to make her a little collar inspired by Catherine625's fabulous kitty collar to match her bed. But she began to nibble at it, so I had to take it off her.  She's not crazy--she just looks that way in the picture!

You can check out the  free pattern at:  http://wendyknits.net/knit/kittybed.htm. And check out the kitty bed gallery! It's a kitty hoot!

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / The best devil hat ever! on: November 05, 2004 12:04:25 PM
OK, I know it's past Halloween, but devils are always in style. I got this pattern from Jennifer Stafford, an uber knitter who has an amazing site called www.domiknitrix.com. She's also making a version for the snowboarder skiiers out there that ties under the chin.  Check it out.

I love my hat and I hope you guys do too!

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Sex in the Knitty on: August 04, 2004 03:50:38 PM
Anyone working on any items from the most recent knitty.com wth all the saucy lingerie items? I'm contemplating a few of them--such as mon petite chou piece--it's so cute! Also, I've been knitting for almost 20 years and I think I'm just burned out of sweaters, scarves, socks, shawls, etc.

Any thoughts?
