11  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: How do you store your yarn? on: January 02, 2009 11:11:04 AM
My stash is not so huge as to be unmanageable so I just store them in see-through plastic boxes and keep them under my bed. The boxes have wheels so they slide in and out easily. The yarn is roughly sorted so I don't have to dig through everything whenever I need a particular yarn.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. The pattern's from Sylver Designs. The post has been edited to include more details.

These are fantastic! I would love to make a pair for my to-be-born neice, but I am wondering, isn't the yarn to harsh on the baby skin?

Thanks! Rowan ASC is a pretty soft yarn and is quite popular for knitting or crocheting baby items. Plus, it's machine washable too!
13  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Little Button Loafers (Updated with 1 button strap version) on: January 02, 2009 03:37:28 AM
I made another pair of the itty bitty booties. This time it's the 1 button strap version. The pattern includes both versions. Details are the same as below. There're more pictures here.

I didn't have a single crocheted FO for 2008 so it's great to kickstart 2009 with one! I made these for a friend who's having a baby. They're easy to make and freakin' cute.

Pattern: Little Button Loafers (pattern is available for purchase from Sylver Designs)

Size: 1 (3 months) (3.75″L by 2″W)

Yarn: 0.5 x Rowan All Seasons Cotton in Cookie and a little bit of Rowan All Seasons Cotton in Military

Hook: 3.5m

Details and more pictures in blog post.

16  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Breeze on: July 26, 2008 11:01:30 AM
I finally resurrected this project after letting it hibernate for more than half a year. It's the Breeze socks from Knitty knit in Knit Picks' Risata.

There are more project details and pictures at my blog post.

19  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Monkey See, Monkey Do on: May 15, 2008 11:08:08 AM
So like the other 89283492 knitters before me, I had to knit a pair of Monkey socks. This was knitted in Knit Picks Memories yarn in the Redwood Forest colourway. Totally reminds me of Autumn.

I've got lots more pictures and pattern babbling in my blog post if you're interested.
