And me modeling this fabulous sweater. I LOVE it and it fits perfectly. My daughter already asked to borrow it and tried to run off with the knitted scarf. She settled for the Betty Boop scarf, though, and was delighted to get something out of my package.

Here's what I sent my pardner. I forgot to take a pic of the glass cherry earrings I made and the cherry chopsticks/hair sticks I painted.

Here's a "jordy" hobo bag, sublime stitching tea towels, a pin-up girl compact (I bought that because I couldn't resist it):

Thanks supercraftytx! if you want to organize this, I'll help you get the final list together and get things rolling. I don't think I"m going to participate in this swap, though, because it's probably going to be several weeks before things are back to normal at our apartment. We didn't lose anything, but everything is smokey and they will be doing all kinds of cleaning and painting, etc. and rebuilding the apartments above us and the roof. Anyway, it was more than a best-case scenario for my apartment, but just a lot of inconvenience for the next few weeks. All our cable wires and phone lines were burned up and I have no idea when I'll be able to use my computer at home again.

I need to send my swap #2 pic out to my partner this week. I guess I should air it out first.  Tongue

My apartment is on the ground floor beneath the one that's smokin'.

I get mine at my optometrist's office. She has a fabulous selection, and my insurance covers it. At first, I felt like Elton John in them, but now I forget I'm wearing them.

Here are pics of what dixie_terror sent me. There's a cd of her husband's band, a binder, a coffee travel cup (which I'm using right now), this fabulous painting.

And an "action" shot of the painting on my livingroom wall:

My partner received her package, so here are the pics.
I made the purse, which is reversible, and the jewelry bag. I painted the skull jewelry box (which hangs from the wall) and put a mirror in it. It's my first painted thing, I guess, so I could use some practice in that area. I also painted tiny skulls on the chopsticks (hair sticks). The package also included a tiki candle, skull tea light, local tattoo shop sticker and key chain, margarita flavored lip balm, and a little poodle towel (in the tiny package):

First, allow me to say that I'm still cheesing on my picture received from the first swap. I may have to move it into my bedroom so I can admire it more at night.

With that said, here's my "before" shot of my picture for swap #2. It's a vintage (1940s, maybe?) framed pic of a creek and some trees. I'll remove the glass before sending it (and my partner can do whatever to it -- I don't have to keep the glass if that doesn't work with her/his vision).

I got my fabulous package from Lucy van Pelt today. I love it!

*There's a kitty pin cushion -- not only do I love cats, but I've been wanting a pin cushion to keep in my embroidery kit since I keep my other one at my sewing machine.
* There's a Dorothy Parker journal, which I'll keep in my purse (I heart Dorothy Parker)
* vanilla pancake mix, which may inspire me to clean the crafts off my table so I can prepare a proper meal for my daughter
* a yummy candle wrapped in beads
* very very cool beaded earrings
* kicky buttons (I just wanted to say 'kicky')

Thanks a bunch Kristi!

P.S. I'm sending to my partner today. Sorry for being a couple of days late!
