1  Probably my most favorite scarf I've made yet! in Crochet: Completed Projects by meagannichole on: November 25, 2007 02:59:49 AM
I made this scarf a week ago and it was just OK...I knew I wanted to put something on it, but wasn't sure yet. Today it finally hit me like a ton of bricks; I needed to put my beloved Totoro on it, and boy was that a good choice!

I hope these pics aren't too big.

I love it SO much! Cheesy

2  Pretty much the best thing I've ever made...(pic heavy!) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by meagannichole on: August 09, 2007 10:51:18 PM
I had decided a couple days ago that I had outgrown my old purse and needed something bigger. Since I'll be starting my fourth year of college in a little over a week, I thought it would be the perfect time to make myself something new.

After sitting and cutting out 70+ different colored 4"X4" squares I wanted to give up...but after a little patience (which I never have), my work paid off and I  had created this tote.

And I LOVE it. It's not too big, not too small; just the right size so that I can still wear my backpack, and I can keep things I don't want getting squished in my new little tote. I'm uber-proud.

Here's the main view. It has a small pocket on the front that's trying to blend in...tee hee!

A little close-up of some details.

View from the side.

And the inside with a bunch of pockets!

3  Palm Pilot Cozy! in Crochet: Completed Projects by meagannichole on: July 28, 2007 10:37:37 PM
I got bored today...so naturally I ended up picking up a hook and some yarn. About 30 minutes later, I had produced this little cozy for my Palm Z22.

I like it! It fits my Palm just right, and it keeps my screen from getting scratched.

4  My first hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by meagannichole on: July 28, 2007 10:31:51 PM
I've been crocheting for almost a year now and I FINALLY got the courage to crochet my first beanie. After a day on the porch (and one akward and ridiculous looking sunburn later), I was able to come up with this super cool beanie. I got the pattern from one of those little project flyers you can get in the yarn sections of stores like Michaels and JoAnn Fabrics.

I absolutely love it. I love it so much I decided to make one for my littlest brother who is going to be turning six this year. He's beyond excited to get it in the mail.

I actually found the pattern online as well, just in case you want to make one of these beauties for yourself. It can be found here...

5  I'm pretty much addicted... in Stenciling: Completed Projects by meagannichole on: July 28, 2007 10:02:15 PM
I love freezer paper stencils. It is a gift from the Gods, and it is so easy to use. I got bored yesterday, and decided to take one of my numerous plain t-shirts and add some character to it.

Here's what I ended up with...

Does anyone else remember Daria? That show was the best!

Later I ended up carefully painting Daria's hair brown. Just another reason to represent!

6  My first post...(blush) in Stenciling: Completed Projects by meagannichole on: June 11, 2007 12:16:28 PM
Hooray for my first post!

I was bored this weekend and ended up making some freezer paper stencils and stenciling myself a new shirt. The linked images are a little dark, but you get the picture.

I loves it!

Here's the front...

And here's the back....

The stencil looked pretty sloppy at first, so I ended up taking a paintbrush and redoing all the outlines, and then just filling in all the left over awkward spots. I'm not usually a fan of doing that, but I think it ended up looking swell.

Princess Daisy always was so much cooler than Princess Peach! Wink
