I hit the wall today.  I wanted to make something but couldnt think of anything with the stuff I had on hand.

So I picked up my markers and it tuned into a notecard set.

Here are a few of my favorites.

(FYI:  Yes, I was inspired by Sublime Stitching.  I free handed them.)

14  Wisconsin / Wisconsin: Southeast / sewing help needed in madison! just one lesson or 2 needed. on: July 03, 2007 06:16:11 AM
Many Many many years ago I got a sewing machine for christmas.  I am talking 10 years ago!  Well I never touched it but my little sister did.

I know nothing about sewing but when I got the machine it came with extra plastic thingies and I know for a fact that my sister lost them.

So what I would like is to have someone help me set it up and show me what is what and what I am mising and just kinda show me how to use it.  It would take a afternoon I am sure.

I will even take you out for lunch or something. or if it goes well I will dedicate my first project to you!

16  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / 6 old shirts = a new rug on: July 01, 2007 03:43:05 PM
Hey everyone!  I was inspired by a rug I saw in a book so I had to make it.

Now I have never crocheted anything but a scarf before, little alone in a circle.  Thank goodness for youtube for showing me how.  This rug is made from 6 old t-shirts.

17  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / my first try making a mini book. PIC HEAVY! (8 pics) on: June 11, 2007 09:43:11 AM
So I wanted to make my friend Kim a mini cookbook.
I cut the little girl out of an old book and put it on some cool paper.

Then I added 5 recipe cards

NOW this is where it gets fun.  I have never read anything on how to bind a book.  So I get some needle and string and some felt and go at it.

but I keep breaking my needles.  so it was time to bust out the glue.

I still embelished it

and it turned fine in the end

18  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My fisrt X-stich on: June 09, 2007 06:35:05 AM
I bought one of the kits from subversive.com.  It was cute but I wasnt that impressed with the lettering.  So basically I just went on my own and just took the saying.

19  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / went to a Nintendo party on: June 07, 2007 01:00:59 PM
So I went to a nintendo party the other week and like the good guest I am I never show up empty handed.  I was going to make a 1 up cake but found these star cupcake holders and thought it was much more easy to eat at a party.
