1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Newspaper Nail Art on: December 27, 2012 12:26:34 AM
Hey lovelies!

EXTREMELY long time lurker, very rare poster here  Wink I've recently become nail polish obsessed, and today I tried NEWSPAPER NAIL ART!

It was so very very easy! Like, super beginner easy! I can post a tutorial if you guys like, but I pretty much did this, replacing the following:
  • Rubbing alcohol: Used 1/8 cup water mixed with 1 tablespoon acetone nail polish remover instead
  • Time: Pressed the newspaper onto my nails firmly (all around the edges of the nail, without moving the paper or it will blur) for around 30 seconds, not 10 seconds

Pictures!

Right hand (unusually better than the other one... weird):
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Homemaker sewing machines on: April 15, 2007 01:38:20 AM
Hi there,
My old sewing machine has finally reached the end of it's days -- unless someone can help me? Problem below Cheesy (Hey, it's worth a try!).

I was looking at some sewing machines, and was thinking of buying a Homemaker LCD model. Has anyone had experience with these? Any issues?

Thanks

PS. My old machine is a Pfaff, and has a front-loading bobbin. Whenever I put the sewing machine into anything other than straight stitch, the needle hits the bobbin case. Also, in any stitch, it won't pick up the bobbin thread.

We've had it looked at and serviced, as I was fairly sure that the bobbin was out of alignment, but the repairman said that nothing was an issue and it just needed a good clean. It only worked for a little while after this and then jammed up again.
