1  8-Bit Afghan OVERLOAD! in Crochet: Completed Projects by SheriB626 on: December 02, 2012 04:16:18 PM
Hi everyone! I keep disappearing for months at a time, but I swear it's because I'm making so much stuff! Check out some of the commissions I've made in the past few months!

I've actually made TWO of these Yoshi Egg Afghans!

I looooove this Boo Afghan!

And this Kirby Afghan was not a commission, but it is being auctioned off a the Child's Play Charity Auction on December 6! Check out this awesome cause: Child's Play

Enjoy everyone!

2  Triforce Afghan in Crochet: Completed Projects by SheriB626 on: March 10, 2012 11:15:21 AM
So I look less crazy in the Yoshi Baby Blanket thread, here's the Triforce Afghan! Along with the Mario Mushroom Scarf (and a custom large piece), this afghan was auctioned off to support Child's Play. All together we raised more than $17,000!

And some in-progresss shots (mostly pulled from Instagram):

3  I'm Addicted to Squares! Yoshi Egg Baby Blanket in Crochet: Completed Projects by SheriB626 on: March 10, 2012 10:36:04 AM
In the vein of my Mario Mushroom Afghan and the Triforce Afghan, I present. . . The Yoshi Egg Baby Blanket!

4  Mario Mushroom Scarf! in Crochet: Completed Projects by SheriB626 on: January 04, 2012 05:43:46 PM
As if the mushroom afghan wasn't enough!

This will be auctioned off for charity!

As with the afghan, I also took pictures during creation, but I'm feeling lazy today.

No real pattern, but I did lean on Twinkiechan's cupcake pattern for some aspects of the base shape.

5  Mario Mushroom Afghan! (apparently I only make epic projects; image heavy) in Crochet: Completed Projects by SheriB626 on: December 24, 2011 09:50:16 AM
Hello Craftster!

I know I tend to peek my head in here about once a year, and I'm very sorry about that.  But it seems I only really pick up my hook around the holidays (New Years Resolution: crochet more).

As the thread title indicates, I only seem to make Epic Projects, such as the Tetris afghan and the Pac-Man Scarf (back).

This year brings yet another enormous, time-consuming project that I finished very early this morning (a Christmas miracle!). This time, I was a good girl and tried to document the entire process. Be prepared, there's a ton of photos here.

I'm posting the final image first so that it shows up in the forum index. Is that vain? I don't care. Wink

BEGIN

It started with squares

Lots of squares

No joke

A face appears!

I'll stop making dumb captions now

OMG it's done!

Then I finally started using Instagram (SheriB626, if anyone is interested)

The way I was joining squares did not lend itself to hiding ends, so I wound up having to sew in ALL OF THE ENDS. I don't recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their sanity.

Finally finished!

And now, the Official Photos!

I am SO EXCITED. This is a Secret Santa swap gift, and while I've been sharing my progress with the group that's doing it, my giftee has no idea that it's going to him.  So everyone is pretty much going "OMG I hope Sheri is sending it to ME!"  I can't wait to ship it, my only regret is that it obviously won't be there by Christmas.

Thanks for looking everyone!

6  Pac-Man Scarf, and other assorted new stuff! in Crochet: Completed Projects by SheriB626 on: December 07, 2010 10:56:45 AM
Hi there, Craftster!  It's been FOREVER since I've posted!  That's probably because I took a few months off of crochet (not really of my choosing, but work demands all my attention sometimes).  But I'm back with some COOL NEW STUFF (I like to think, at least).

Anyway, I'm making a bunch of stuff for various holiday swaps and such, so there will certainly be more where this came from.

First and foremost, I made a Pac-Man scarf (of my own design, amazingly enough -- I impressed myself!):

Did I mention it's reversible?

I really hope my giftee likes it, I'm thrilled with it.

And then there are some hats!

And last (but not least), a cupcake iPhone cozy!

Thanks for looking!

7  In which I make EVEN MORE STUFF in Crochet: Completed Projects by SheriB626 on: February 06, 2010 07:45:11 PM
Okay so I made a thread a few weeks ago with a TON OF STUFF

Since then, I have made not-quite-a-ton of stuff, so I will post it all here!

Okay when I first started to crochet, I made a hat for my dear friend Eric.  Since that day, he has worn the hat about five bajillion times.  I made him a hat about two years ago so he could have some variety; however, he decided that it was 'too girly' (link here).  He says it is 'powder blue,' I say it is 'steel blue.'  Whatevs.  So since he DOES NOT WEAR the awesome basketweave hat, I made him this one (at his request).  So far, he approves.

Yes, yet another ever-popular Divine hat, this time in a beautiful shade of purple (for a friend)!

So, about two years after making this scarf for my BFF Jarrod (who is now my boyfriend, omg!), I have finally fulfilled my promise of making him a hat to go with it.  Now all I have to do is mail it to him (he's currently living in Boston; I made the hat not-too-thick, though, since he's soon moving down here to Florida, and I want him to still be able to wear it).

For my dear friend from Ireland, a hat to match his scarf (which I did not make; I merely patterned the stripes after the scarf):

For me.  A Divine hat with a brim.  Not sure how much I like it.

A neckwarmer!  So useful here in Florida.  I dunno what I'm going to do with it.  Maybe I should open an Etsy shop, as everyone keeps telling me.  o.o

Finally, I finished a scarf to match this HOT PINK (I swear) and green earflap hat I posted in my last thread.  For a friend's GF.  This is my FIRST TIME doing a Chevron pattern!  I like it.  Cheesy

Thanks for looking!  Cheesy

So I just finished a baby blanket for a coworker whose wife is expecting.  Check it out!

9  NEW STUFF! A giraffe hat, and assorted other fun stuff! (image heavy) in Crochet: Completed Projects by SheriB626 on: January 21, 2010 10:42:02 PM
New stuff in this here post!

-----

So it's only been, oh, 2 years since I've posted some new stuff. . .  I spent a long while not crocheting, unfortunately!  But now that I've started again, I just can't stop!  So let's see what I've been up to, I suppose!

Note: if there's no link to a pattern, I just kind of winged it.

First and foremost, I finished this today (I'd started it, say, six months ago, after picking up the hook again after a year or so to make a baby blanket).  What can I say, I love giraffes.

I also finished this today, to keep me warm on my upcoming trip to Boston.

Divine hat and made-up scarf for a friend's girlfriend for Christmas

Divine hat for another friend

I made up the pattern for this earflap hat for yet another friend

Terrible iPhone photos in the bathroom do not show the incredibly BRIGHT pink color of this hat.  It's from Caron's Simply Soft Brites.  I'll be making a matching scarf in the next few days, also for a friend's girlfriend.

Winged a coffee-and-camel colored scarf for a friend, and she wound up giving it to her mom for her birthday, then asking me to make another for her!

Since I solidified my earflap pattern, I made one for myself.  Again, Caron SS Brites, blue and pink.

A panda hat?! (for a friend)

Baby hats for a friend's baby (it was supposed to be two, but I just couldn't help myself.  I should also be making him a monkey hat soon).

Okay. . . okay, I think that's it.  Sorry to bombard you guys!  All of these were made from about mid-December until today!

10  Re: Pretty Puff Slouchy Hat UPDATE: Pattern added in Crochet: Completed Projects by SheriB626 on: December 30, 2009 11:54:47 PM
So I actually made one of these hats almost two years ago (Feb 2008) and never posted a picture of it.  Since I'm now making another one, I thought I'd share the first.

I made it for a friend.  Smiley
