41  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Traveling Little Visitor Swap Round 23 Gallery! on: October 05, 2016 11:19:33 AM

Wildfyre - we were really lucky this year meeting 3 LV crafters. Usually we're not that lucky. Smiley But suppose... I'm very lucky to live in a city people want to come to for vacation. Wink
...and one of those meetings you came to the #1 tourist destination in the world so that helped. LOL (Of course I mean Walt Disney World here in Orlando where you got to meet me and Hatty!)

As of this morning's National Hurricane Center projections, I am outside the direct path of Hurricane Matthew. I'm in the purple box area on the West Coast of Florida; Matthew will likely be making landfall almost directly across the state from me on the East Coast.

That's not to say we might not get some weather. We probably will. But *fingers crossed* so long as the direct path stays easterly like this, I should be ok.

With the swap extended, Clara was here for my birthday over the weekend  Grin I was sick but we still made it to the harbour to see the Sydney Opera House up close. Here is a panoramic shot which shows the gorgeous view - the Sydney Harbour Bridge on one side of the harbour and the Sydney Opera House on the other. Sydney is a beautiful city and well worth a visit for anyone thinking about coming to Australia  Wink

As you can see by her face Clara was pretty impressed  Grin Going to miss this little friend when she goes home, and I won't be the only one - the cockatoos quite like her!!!!  Cry
Gorgeous view indeed!! And I totally understand - everyone gets a kick out of little Hatty! I've had a lot of fun with her and hope you enjoy seeing more about her adventure when you get the scrapbook.

I always felt a little sheepish pulling out a stuffed animal and taking photos in public though.

Don't worry- it gets easier-- hahaha!
Quoted for truth!!

Unfortunately, my power steering pressure hose broke and was $260 to repair. It's left me in the lurch financially speaking and I'm not going to be able to send tomorrow. Cry Obviously, this isn't something I was able to plan. I do have a show this Saturday so hopefully, I can make some money and get Hatty back asap. Adulting sucks some days.

I spent Oct 1st at Magic Kingdom to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the opening of Walt Disney World! So I didn't get to open my first package until today, which meant I got to open TWO packages today. But I've gotten started and posted in the gallery. Yay! Grin

I am so ready to start opening stuff! I keep squishing my packages and trying to guess what is in the packages
LOL I gave in and opened the box but haven't taken the items OUT of the box yet because I fear my restraint and ability not to tear into them all! LOL  Cheesy

Just finished my mini 13 days of Halloween swap so I'm turning to this one. I've been brainstorming ideas but I haven't pinned down my final decision yet. But I'm freed up from my other swap now to focus solely on it.

I shipped! I wound up going with FedEx. Never shipped with them for a swap before but my package, while not terribly heavy at 7lbs, 9oz, was more than 12" on any side making it much more expensive to ship. USPS wanted $30. Lips sealed FedEx wanted $21. I went with FedEx. Hopefully, they are nice to my box and get it across country with due haste and care. Registered an account last night, printed up the label, dropped it off this afternoon. Hopefully within 5 days it will be ready for the fun and festivities to start!

I wrapped and numbered things last night. I have no clue what order things wound up in. It will be a daily surprise for me as well as my partner. Cheesy My wrapping is less than amazing but I've had a cold for the past few days and never had a chance to go out for special wrapping materials so the hodge podge of what I had on hand will hopefully suffice.

I counted up everything yesterday....and realized I was done! LOL I had been making so many projects, I didn't even know how many I had. Grin Took some photos yesterday, have just a few tiny finishes on 2 items and then I need to pack it all up.
