Thank you!  Yeah I love natural stones as well. There's just something amazing with natural stones that can't be replicated. And fluorite has such cool variation in it, it just lends itself well to jewelry.

Just in under the wire, I received a PM from 1boy1girl1kitty2 inviting me to join her in this swap. Sounded good to me, so I'm just saying a big, "Hello!" to everyone here. This is my first IYP swap so it was fun to get a request to partner for it. Cheesy
3507  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Experimental Wire-Wrapping Spiral pendants on: January 01, 2009 01:04:57 PM
I clicked on your topic because i really liked the shape/colors/feeling of the first one (obviously, the one in the first photo) but i absolutely adore the second one. Judging by the other opinions expressed here, i guess i'm boring. The first one is the one i'd admire, but the second one is the one I'd wear. I could see my mom going for either one. Definitely a good idea. I can't wait to see more!
Not boring at all! I thought using all uniform beads in a small variety of colors might be a nice approach as well. I think I'll continue with both more "polished" styles and more "free form" styles as well to have more variety. Thanks for the input! Cheesy

3509  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Yarn ball Christmas Tree ornament on: January 01, 2009 09:58:04 AM
I wish I had seen this BEFORE Christmas, my knitter friend would love it.  Very cute!
Well blame it on me. I didn't even make it before Christmas!  Cheesy It's a tardy gift!
3510  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Yarn ball Christmas Tree ornament on: January 01, 2009 08:12:33 AM
Smiley Love it.... great job... I read some of the other posts... but did you glue the very end to the top? when you ended it? or tuck it someplace...
No, I didn't want any glue to show, so at the end, I made two simple, discrete knots around two of the top strands, cut the tail short and tucked it into the weaving.
