Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away yesterday and I didn't even think to stop and check my mail. But apparently Olivia arrived yesterday so I was able to retrieve her this morning.

Her box was wrapped in cute Japanese paper and she had a safe travel box to ride out the transport.

She brought back some sushi keychains, a cute little cat tag and an owl cloth.

Close-ups

Olivia came home ahead of her scrapbook which will be following shortly. She was just anxious to get home! Thanks for showing her around Japan, roler! I can't wait to see more from her travels!

When Clyde heard there was another round, he said he was ready for an adventure! Olivia is taking an extended stay in Japan and won't be home in time for this round, so I told Clyde he was welcome to head on out for another adventure! Grin

Clyde has previously been to Virginia and Alaska - that's him in Wildfyre's opening post! Grin

Clyde's a fun-loving little horse who is excited for his third adventure! He loves all kinds of nature, unique landmarks, historic sites, museums, art & culture and having fun! He's open to seeing more of the world too.

If anyone wants to partner up ahead of time, drop me a pm! I'm by myself down here in Sunny Florida so your LV will get to see things like the beach, Walt Disney World, Busch Gardens and tons of palm trees.  Cheesy It's a great way to live vicariously through your LV if you always wanted to visit Florida.  Wink

No trip to Florida is complete without at least a small visit to the beach...so here's a teaser pic until I can get the files off my memory card.

(click for larger so you can see the view better!)

I went this afternoon (it's good to work for yourself!) so I'd have time to finish out the scrapbook. Grin It was a gorgeous day today with a high around 80F/26C with clear blue skies. Great way to finish up her Florida vacation!

I received WeeFreeRhie from yesterday.

Here is everything together:

There's a Beauty and the Beast rose "stained glass" art, two paper boxes (one Minnie and one Haunted Mansion wallpaper) which inside held Mickey ear and ghost hair ties respectively, plus another pair of skeleton hair ties and two glass jars decorated with silk flowers and an Olaf (from Frozen) Pez dispenser.

Jars:

Hair ties:

Rose jar art:

Thank you WeeFreeRhie for the whimsical package!

eta: DARNIT. Sorry WeeFreeRhie! I had copy-and-pasted to make sure I spelled it right....and I copied and pasted the wrong name. Embarrassed

I literally just walked in the door but guess what we did today!!

That's right! We hit the Bay Area Renaissance Festival for opening day!! Grin Let me tell you, Maccha was THE hit of the show. Everywhere I went, people wanted to see the turtle. Several people - including King Henry himself! - posed for pictures with her too. Pics later after I shower the dust and mud off and get the photos offloaded to the computer.

But a fun day was had!

Oh I love the pics! Looks so cool. I so want to go to Universal Orlando and see Harry Potter!!

I've got more pow wow shots coming but I apparently took over 700 photos so I'm still going through them. LOL Meanwhile, I have some pics from Sunken Gardens to share. It's an old botanical garden in the middle of downtown St. Pete, opened in 1903 and now a registered historic landmark.

They were setting up for a wedding, and were taking over three areas of the gardens so I had to be a little strategic in getting shots. We also kept getting blocked by the crews setting up. Because it's over 100 years old though, so much of the plant life is massive!

There's a little Japanese Garden too. And apparently, St. Petersburg has a sister city in Japan.

And yes, this is what it looks like even in the dead of winter here in Florida!  Grin
