Thursday was my husband's birthday. He wanted to go see Deadpool. We figured 2pm on a weekday probably wouldn't be too busy.

It was vulgar, raunchy and rude. But HYSTERICAL. Cheesy We enjoyed it!

Today we went over to the posh mall to get some lunch and some cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory to go. The parking lot was full, so we had to park around back by Neiman Marcus. If that's not fancy enough, look at the collection of expensive cars parked in the little "valet" circle by the door:

There was a Bentley (MSRP: From $198,500), a Jag, two Lamborghinis, and just off shot, a Maybach Mercedes (MSRP: From $189,350)  Shocked Grin

I laughed, took a pic with my visiting frog and got back in my Nissan Rogue. (MSRP: From $23,290) Grin

Nah, I haven't been to NYC for over 20+ years. Definitely didn't pop over there on the weekend. Cheesy And you're ahead of me. I have 0% done for the scrapbook. But that's normal for me. I normally binge it at the end. I have the physical book I'm going to use and I collect souvenirs and trinkets along the way and some of that will wind up in the book.

Meanwhile, my habit this round of photographing Wallace with oversized creatures continues with the cow statue outside a local steakhouse where we had a family dinner on Monday:

And then I saw some frog chocolate at Target so I thought Wallace might get a kick out of some fellow amphibians.  Cheesy

In other news, we were SUPPOSED to go to a pow wow today. But it rained. Non stop. Relentlessly. All day long. So we're going tomorrow.

So Wallace took a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge:

Nah, just kidding! LOL It was IKEA. Grin

And after, we hit HomeGoods to find a lamp where Wallace made friends with a giant metal flamingo!

(No, I don't know why I always seem to find oversized animals at HomeGoods! Because yes, that IS a giant ROOSTER behind the flamingo too! Cheesy )

Hopefully, though the weather will be colder, there will be no rain and we can go enjoy the festival tomorrow!

Phoenixfire, does Mew Mew look like anyone you know? I was checking out the rest of your Busch Gardens pictures and found a twinsie.
Oh my goodness, yes!! This is our girl, Gracie:

Just a quickie pic I just took now on the couch, but definitely twinsie! Cheesy

I got so many great photos for the album yesterday on our trip to the city!  Giles and Baranoff met a new friend while in the city and wanted to take a photo with him...

The new friends tag says:  "Pugs and Kisses"!  Grin
Awesome! Look forward to seeing his adventures.

Wallace went to Disney's Animal Kingdom for a few hours Saturday. Here he is by the park's icon, the tree of life. There are over 300 creatures carved into the trunk!

You'll definitely want to click for a larger version! Cheesy

Sunday we headed out to Busch Gardens Tampa! Wallace enjoyed the cool weather and the wide variety of African animals.

First off, we had cold weather here for a few days, including lows down at freezing with frost on the ground in some spots. So, they had topiaries covered like this lion at the entrance. Made me chuckle.  Grin

Wallace also got up close and personal with a few big cats:

But could NOT talk this terrified-of-heights woman into riding Falcon's Fury. (At 335 feet / 102m, it's the tallest free-standing drop tower in North America!  Shocked Shocked )

He got a kick out of the Flamingo game (very Florida)

And goofed around with the hippos. Don't worry, it wasn't real! Wink

I have more pics I took with my Canon DSLR (these are just the cell pics) but I'll save those for the album. Much fun was had though!  Grin

eta: you can see some of the animal photos I took without Wallace in them here: https://www.facebook.com/missmturner/media_set?set=a.10153938073323514.1073741836.759693513&type=3&pnref=story

Jewelry making is my job but photography is a real passion of mine. Cheesy

I've been busy but sadly with nothing fun or photo-worthy. Poor Wallace has probably been bored. Cry

Like...we got a new coffee table last week:

But yesterday, we hit the Gem, Bead and Jewelry show! So that was fun. Grin It was in the Coliseum in St. Pete which is a historic ballroom from 1924 and is now used for a lot of events. (In fact, I was a vendor here at a show back in June of last year and brought Apti with me!)

Wallace thought these druzy beads looked like sushi! Cheesy

So, at least he got out of the house for something fun. My poor Mom is in the hospital right now (inflamation of her pancreas and a case of shingles  Cry so that's no fun. I'm not sure what else will be going on but Wallace is a trooper even when there's not a lot of time to show him around.

NYE we went to a friend's house and played silly games with them and their kids. I totally forgot to get pics of Wallace though he was there! D'oh!

The next day, my husband and I were tired and hungry for breakfast, so we went to Ihop for brunch. Wallace checked out the syrups.

After that, we had some errands to run including getting a new lamp for the one that stopped working. At HomeGoods, Wallace spotted some LARGE visitors! Grin

Today it's rainy and cold - practically a first for us all season excluding the 24 hours of a cold front we had the Saturday before Christmas - so I think Wallace is having shell shock in the temp change! Wink

Wallace took a moment on Christmas Eve to sit under the tree and take in the lights and all the pretty wrapped gifts. (He's over on the left)

And Christmas Day he got a kick out of this inflatable Santa on a jetski in front of my husband's cousin's house. Very Florida  Grin

As always, click either pic for larger version!
