I designed my card fronts based on trading card games like Magic: The Gathering, deciding on a fire theme to go with my username. The back I did a similar color scheme, added a pic of my fluffy cat, Ginger, and a bunch of random factoids.

I had them printed 9 per page on a cardstock from Office Depot and then cut them out individually and did my darndest to line them up and glue them together neatly. (To varying degrees of success!)

After they were printed, I realized the font was a little small but...at that point, it was just going to have to be good enough! LOL Lesson learned for next time I guess. Grin

I received from Beautifulsoul! She selected my all-time favorite movie ever, Back to the Future, as the theme!! Grin

I LOVE IT! All the details are excellent! Enchantment Under the Sea Dance poster, George McFly's novel cover, the letter from Marty warning Doc, save the clock tower flyer (complete with message from Jennifer on the back!), Re-elect Mayor Goldie Wilson - it's just awesome. Great Scott this is Heavy! Grin

Back and goodies

Even the "letter to Doc" is torn, aged and taped back together!

And for those of you who don't know just how much I love Back to the Future, here's me (dressed in my Marty McFly cosplay I made) with Christopher Lloyd, aka Doc Brown himself from Megacon in Orlando this past May:

Needless to say, I'm a fan!

Thank you so much, Beautifulsoul!! I just love it!

On a whim yesterday, we decided to head down...to the beach! Grin So Hatty got a real taste of Florida. I'm going to save some of the pics for the album, but here's a few.

Click any pic for a larger version! Grin

I'm behind on sharing updates. So here's a few pics from the last few outings.

First off, from a few weeks ago, Hatty got to meet up with some more super heroes including up close with Tony Stark (Iron Man)

Hatty also got to go back down to the historic Coliseum in St. Petersburg (where I did a show last month) to check out another art show taking place. This time though, she had time to look around as a guest. Grin It was built in 1924

And then Sunday we had a show in Tampa and I was set up in a local brewery's space. So Hatty had time to check out some of the brewing equipment before the show began.

So she's been keeping busy!

Unfortunately, my husband and I were both sick with some kind of stomach bug this weekend so we didn't get to go out and see fireworks for the 4th. Hatty enjoyed my red, white, and blue star blinkie necklace though!  Cheesy

Wow! The Grand Canyon. Cool!

(I didn't realize you guys didn't have White Castle in Virginia. I know they have them in NY; I used to eat it as a kid on summer vacation when we went up to Long Island to see family. I thought it was more common "up north" in general. We don't have them down here in Florida.

We went over to WDW yesterday for a few hours. Hatty got a quick peek at Tigger yesterday. He was leaving and walking off from his meet-and-greet but I ran up real quick and snagged a quick shot. Tigger was playing with a mini Tigger plush and making it dance  Cheesy and then waved when I held Hatty up for a shot:

I had a meeting with the store west elm today about possibly incorporating some of my jewelry in their "LOCAL" program. The store is in an area called Hyde Park that's right next to Downtown Tampa. I had to park up on the top floor of the parking garage and you could see part of the skyline peeking out above the trees:

Of course, my appointment was 5:20pm which meant I was stuck smack dab in the middle of rush hour and what should have been a 30 minute drive turned into a 3 hour round trip due to traffic! Angry The peacefulness of the pic is a lie! Cheesy

Nice!!  Grin Haven't gotten to see Dory yet. Sounds fun. I love that it was a "blue" carpet too. Cheesy

We had a big show this weekend at a historic ballroom in St. Petersburg called The Coliseum. Can you spot me & Hatty in this pic?  Grin This is during set up before the show opened:

I don't blame you if you need help! I'm pretty little in the shot so she's microscopic! I've got her on my palm.

Fortunately for me, we were so busy I never got any other pics. Unfortunate for her but I was happy it was a packed house!

I do a market called Pierce Street in the fall/winter and yesterday was the first of the summer markets, so we stopped by to see how it was. (Most markets/craft shows stop in late April/early May because it just gets too hot so this was a new test by the organizers of the market to see if continuing with a morning market with reduced hours was worthwhile or not.)

It's right on the waterfront next to the Clearwater Harbor Marina so we stopped to show Hatty the view of the multi-million dollar yachts, sailboats and other ships.

The bridge at the top of the screen takes you to Clearwater Beach proper. But the weather started to shift and we hit some really heavy thunderstorms on the way home. This was the view from a different bridge we cross to get back home. (There's a lot of water around here! LOL)

As you can see, the storm clouds were very low and moving quickly. There was a TON of lightning strikes coming from this cloud too but I was driving so I just snapped a quick shot and couldn't wait and time for a better one.

I received from kbrison! She used a variety of my themes and interests across the entire pocket letter.

She came up with so many unique and interesting items for the pockets! Including cards, stickers, an owl patch, die cuts, tags, etc. They all matched the theme of the card!

Details:

The Mickey uses a washi tape roll (which she included loose since it wouldn't fit in a pocket)

I love the quilled daffodils!

I also love the flames on the phoenix:

Thank you so much, kbrison! I love the range of techniques as well as all the awesome goodies. Grin
