2  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Baby items Knitalong on: January 13, 2010 05:39:21 PM
I'm so in on this one. A friend just recently had a baby boy in November, my best friend is due at the end of March with a girl, my husband's best friend is expecting a baby boy in May and if it wasn't enough that I'm due in April (another girl).
So much knitting so little time  Wink
I've already finished 3 pairs of baby booties and am working on the Vine Lace baby hat for Chase (he's the one already here). Figure I have a few months before I have to worry about hats for the other 3 (they all get to enjoy warm weather first  Cheesy).

Well they switched my hrs at work for the next 10 or so weeks (now I'm working Mon-Fri 9-5). So Sat. and Sun are good for me (depending on when my husband wants to head down to work on the house).
Kaiser might be a bit tied up for a while (she and my brother are planning their wedding) and she only has Fri. and Sat. off.

Oh and I might be able to talk my friends Stina and Trish into joining (depending on how their weekends are).

Ok it took a while and they might not be the best shots but heres all the goodies I got (sans the chocolate cause I ate most of it already).
OK first the whole batch

Please try to ignore the puppy, he thought this was his photo shoot (that's why I only have 3 shots right now)

The adorable puppy purse (It's just the right size to hold my wallet and a project)

An inside shot of the cutest sewing kit ever!!!! (its gots mousies) And you can see the awesome wallet with all the pockets in the background

Thanks so much for everything Geeber

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / * Geeber Don't Look* my first actual purse set on: April 26, 2008 08:29:40 AM
So I did the Fill a purse swap #3 and decided to try my hand at making a real purse...not a tote bag. It's got zippers and pockets and a clasp Oh My. Cheesy

This was also my first try at crazy quilting and my first project done on my new machine (I love my new machine it ate a zipper and still kept working for me Grin)

So with out further ado here is the full set a Purse, a Tri-fold wallet and a Coin purse.

AGAIN GEEBER DON"T LOOK!!!!!!!!!!! cause I don't want to spoil it for you but I'm so proud I just have to show off a little.

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My take on the braided gauntlets on: April 22, 2008 06:32:57 AM
OK so I know this is a little late it being spring/summer and all, but I'm kinda proud of these and this was the first time I could wrestle them back from my husband. I made these last November when we went to visit my parents for Thanksgiving and not too long after my husband started checking powerlines in Delware and was always complaining about how cold his hands got. So that is the reason they look a little dirty. Ok enough rambling on to the pics

both together, shows off the contrasting stripes

a close up of the braiding.

This was only my third trip into the world of cables and I found that I still love working with them.
