1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Tudor Rose Purse on: September 19, 2010 08:11:15 PM
I've always wanted to try this purse, it looks so stunning... And then I remember how many pieces I would have to cut out... And no thank you. Yours looks beatiful, I'm jealous of your patience with cutting out a million (ok, 100) pieces!

I wish I had your talent! Those are so adorable!
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Denim & Lace and John Deere Pleated Clutch on: August 21, 2010 05:29:30 PM
I looove the clutches! This style became one of my faves a few months ago. I, too, gathered the top and bottom and then attached the band. Of course I cheated and used a pleater foot which made it a zillion times faster ( a great $15 investment). And I love the daisies, especially the white and navy one! Beautiful job!

So cute! I made about a million of those last week, but different than the tutorial.  I used my gathering foot along both edges and then pressed the gathers down, attatch the center band and voi la!

I've gotta tell you, I'm a HUGE Keyka Lou fan!  When I saw this I didn't recognize the pattern... It looks so different with the contrasting flap, I LOVE IT.  Awesome job!

They look so professional (and I'm not even talking about the embroidery)   They look awesome, and I bet they wont believe you when you say you made them!  Backpacks can be such a pain, but yours looks good!  I'm kinda tempted to make a set for my boy!

I love this! Did you have a pattern or did you make it up as you went along (if so do you have a tute?)

Sooo... I'm sitting here doing my two favorite things, browsing the awesome crafts on craftster.org and watching Venture Brothers.  Go Team Venture!

And Princess Sara: awesome bag, I love the straps and the zipper pocket.

These are really nice.  What did you use for the bottom?

I use plastic canvas, it's flexible but helps give some structure.  I use the "stiff" kind.

Thanks everyone for all the compliments!

Love them all, Grin specially the first ones. Did you use a pattern or make it up as you went along?

no pattern.  when I first started making bags I used patterns and tutorials.  Now I have mastered most of the techniques, and can use them to design my own bags, or recreated one I see.  These bags are simply "jordy style" with my fun closure (male magnetic snap on the flap attached to back, passes through a ring attached to the front, and then connects to the female snap part on the front)  I'll have to do a tutorial, they're pretty simple Smiley
