11  painted wooden magnets in Completed Projects by Celery70 on: December 16, 2007 09:27:20 AM
Here's a group of painted magnets I made.  I had one of those bags of wood chip/disks and figurd I'd do something useful with them.  Just painted the wood pieces and glued a manet on the back (a couple have pin backs).  I figured they might be good for craft shows.  Some people like to get a little 1 or 2 dollar things just to get something.  You guys like?

12  applique snowmen dishtowels in Needlework: Completed Projects by Celery70 on: December 13, 2007 09:35:47 PM
I made these 2 dishtowels for my aunt for Christmas.  She collects snowmen stuff and is the hardest person to buy for.  They aren't the coolest or hippest things I've ever made but I think she'll like them.  They have a country sort of look that isn't my style at all.  I may make more, they didn't take long at all even though I sewed them totally by hand.

Thought I'd post a marker/colored pencil drawing I did, since all I ever seem to post here are painted things...  happy halloween!

15  pony painting in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Celery70 on: October 11, 2007 10:26:37 PM
I am really not into horses and usually dread having to draw them, but my friends daughter is a equestrian fanatic.  I painted her this picture, I think it turned out alright considering the subject matter.  Also- she didn't want anything overly girly.  You like?

16  sun visor for my car in Completed Projects by Celery70 on: October 11, 2007 07:40:52 PM
I couldn't seem to find any sun visors that I liked, and I really needed one living here in Texas (my car gets like an oven sitting out in the parking lot)- so I made my own out of some plain old cardboard.  Just painted it with acrylic paint.  It folds up.  I see people walk by and giggle.  What do you guys think?  I think I'm going to make more with a variety of other animal drivers...

17  applique pillows in Needlework: Completed Projects by Celery70 on: October 03, 2007 01:46:12 PM
Here are 3 applique pillows I did based on my mom and two of her friends.  They're "red hat ladies" and find images of old broads with saggy boobs just hilarious.  I might make them into patterns so the ladies can make their own if they want to...

18  ring holder in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Celery70 on: October 02, 2007 06:58:20 AM
It's not a piece of jewelry, but something to hold jewelry, so I figured it could go in this category.  It a rind holder.  After I finished sewing out the shape for the hand, I got to thinking that a much faster and more sensible solution would have been to just mount a little fabric glove to the wooden base- duh.  Oh well- I may make more that way...

19  paper mache things in Halloween Decor and Parties by Celery70 on: October 02, 2007 06:49:05 AM
These started out as ornaments for my Halloween tree, but they came out a tad large.  Yeah- I have a Halloween tree (black stick on a big pot).  I dont know what they are or what to do with them, just little sit around decor pieces I guess.

20  trick or treat bags in Halloween Decor and Parties by Celery70 on: October 02, 2007 06:45:13 AM
Nothing too unusual.  I just painted some stuff on canvas totes.  I never can find a treat bag big enough to hold all of the candy- these ought to do the trick!
