I found this thread here and thought I'd post pictures of mine...it's been finished a while.  I finally put a button on.  It's getting really cold here but I almost want to keep my putting my daughter in this because I made the whole thing for her.  She doesn't mind that one sleeve is kinda longer than the other.  It's cute.  I used very soft and fuzzy cloud 9 yarn.  In only 5 colors.
It's a little small and she's only not even two yet so it won't fit for long!  darn!

2  FINALL Y! handmade boy shirts you can wear and not get beat up for in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by pregnantknitting on: November 12, 2007 07:24:57 PM
After months of biting your style (all you lovely sew crafty craftsters) and making loads of cheytown dresses and vegbee imitations for my little girls as my son sadly looked on...FINALLY I have come up with something wear-able for him.  I found star wars sheets, batman sheets, pokemon sheets, captain planet sheets but how can I make a whole shirt?  that would involve collars, sleeves, hems...complicated stuff that's WAY beyond me and my refusal to measure or use an iron. So...
the girls had darth vader dresses and in a guilt ridden moment I just appliqud on a character to one of his plain shirts.  TA DA.  major increase in the cool factor.

This is the Captain Planet one.  I don't even exactly know who Captain Planet is

Thanks I finally figured out photobucket.  i was hoping someone would see all my failed attempts and give me a hint.  you read my mind!  here's where i'm at now:
As for losing the weight...well, now that i have the sweater i know I WILL.  this is the 3rd sweater i'm knitting and won't be able to wear for another 6 months or so...of course, it will be freezing then so i will have to wear a big coat over it.  but i'm going to wear it gosh darn it! i've lost the weight 3 times before...hopefully it will come off again this time.

Sorry for that...now I'll show my progress.

let's see if that worked.  (my photo insertion skills might be worse than my limited knitting skills.)
