1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Have you seen the gun show?...Baby Yellow Dress on: August 01, 2008 05:15:19 PM
This was totally retro style w/really intense black beaded work on half of a yellow dress...
no before pic, but this is what the beading looked like:

not pretty when most have fallen off...anyways...I yellow part of the dress was pretty and felt nice, so i couldn't just let my mom throw it all away...nonono...

instead, we scraped the beads and I made a simple tube dress out of the yellow part...it's really flowy and breezy...I've already worn it to a picnic w/a light blue cardigan and it was quite the hit
 Grin

here it is:

sorry, i kinda went overboard w/ coloring it blue...started looking like muscles

there's this little flap under the bust:

it doesn't look to bad in person...

wide+thin straps:

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Grrr Baby, Grr...Wild Blue Print Blouse into a Wearable Cardi-ish... on: August 01, 2008 04:50:55 PM
HIIII
omgah..hi
so...1st non-comment, real post after lurking in the shadows of stalker-dom...wooohooo...now let's begin!

This first post will be the one that looks best (and is actually normal enough to wear!) out of the set I'd like to upload today...

it started off as a regular blouse with a verrry wild print and i don't remember why I bought it since it was kinda short on me...it must've been the colors and lantern sleeves (i've got a soft spot for sleeves)

I basically cut and hemmed up the middle and attached a belt...so now it's a Wrap-around Cardigan ish thing that doesn't scare people away as much since it can be diluted by the avg. basics (black shirt and jeans) now...yayyy....
prepare yourselves...here are 3 diff. ways to wear it:

1. Buttoned and Wrapped:

2. Buttoned and Front-Tied

3. Unbuttoned and Front-tied a bit higher...

Details::

1. Cloth covered Buttons (i made! wooo)

2. The coolness of how it looks w/a belt on only one side:

can you see the diff. in pattern direction of cardi and belt? (i can't tell from the pic)

mwah!
