11  My so-called scarf in Knitting: Completed Projects by frenchnewwave on: December 09, 2007 06:38:41 PM
I love this pattern. It's super fast, but interesting enough. Looks great in a variegated or multi-shaded yarn.

16  Lesson learned: Do not drink and knit! in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by frenchnewwave on: September 05, 2007 11:28:00 AM
I like to knit while watching DVDs. I also like to drink while watching DVDs. Why not do all three at once?

This is why:

Haha, I didn't even notice until well after I bound off. Thankfully it's just a stash-busting washcloth.

Do you have any stories of knitting while intoxicated?

17  Re: Amanda's Squatty Sidekick anyone? in Knitalongs by frenchnewwave on: September 05, 2007 07:56:49 AM

18  Re: Anthropologie-inspired capelet- By julsey723 in Knitalongs by frenchnewwave on: August 28, 2007 06:46:42 AM
It's not very spectacular because a) I haven't finished the sleeves, and b) I used really cheapo yarn, but I'm excited because it's my first sweater-type thing. It was really just an experiment that I never intended to wear - just to see what the pattern was like. But it's a very simple and cute patterns, so I might end up making a real one in the near future.

(The sleeves are still on waste yarn, which is why they look so wonky)

Here's mine pre-felting. I have to throw it in the wash tonight. Can't wait to see how it comes out.
