After arriving back home from a week in Wisconsin and Illinois visiting friends and relatives; there it was! My package from HSG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off, this really cute necklace with shells and a bluish crushed glass or rock  background.

It's on a black metal bead chain necklace.

So neat!

Next is this mod-looking mosaic.

I told my husband it could be flowers or trees and he said, no, no, it's eyes from a snail. oO LOL!!!
The blue behind the "eyes" (or flowers/trees) is a metallic blue. I tried to capture it in my photo by taking it outside but I don't think you really get the shininess and brilliance that it has.

And check out that border frame! It's got rectangle glass pieces in blues and aquas and greens with silvery metal dots embedded. Even the sides of the picture have the mosaic pieces! I love the whole 60's vibe of this piece. It's so incredible!

And if all that wasn't enough, the last project is this spectacular initial mosaic framed in a heavy, hot pink, fancy scrolled frame! (It's not wooden. Maybe resin?)

The base underneath seems to be made with a multi-colored fabric (?) or paint (?) with fruits or plants. Guess I'll have to wait until HSG can describe it. Then it's got these clear glass triangles overtop surrounding the ultra yellow K initial that's practically glowing it's so day-glo! (LOVE IT!)

Plus, the four round glass pieces are like bubble-shaped magnifying the fabric, (or is it paint?), underneath from the base. I tried to capture this in my photo but, again, it doesn't show the 3-dimentional image. Here's another view but I still couldn't quite get the bubbliness. Or did I? LOL!

I love, Love, LOVE everything and I'm so happy! HSG is a super swap partner!
This whole swap was just great!  Grin

OMG! That is so fun! I wish I could see it on someone.
Do the hands glow in the dark too?

OMG this thread is on fire! I have to go waaay back to comment on stuff.

I love Suereal's Little Red Riding Hood wolf doll! How awesome is that??!
Love the monsterbug too with it's cootie-like proboscis and glow-in-the-dark behind! LOL!

Missingwillow's Gorey quilt is so neato! And the embroidered plant napkins - WOW!

alwaysinmyroom's dream catcher is beautiful. And she has mad crochet skills with those owls and pussycat!

Calabaza! I have never seen a macaroon purse before. So awesome!
(And, of course, I want one now). LOL! The exploding needlebox looks so handy too.

Pottermouth! That bear pin cushion is way too cute to stick any pins into. HSG, I hope you only stab the grass with your needles and pins! Spare the bear! LOL!
I've never heard of stumpwork before so I looked it up. WOW! It looks so beautiful (and difficult). I love your pansy and ladybug portrait.

sheepblue, That blue birdwoman is super creepy cool! I love the crocheted stone fish!
The fungi twinchie is really superb. Do the tiny mushrooms glow in the dark too?
So cool!

I know I've missed some stuff. I need to go back again  and post more later.
Anyway, such fun projects!

Wow! You're really good at designing and graphing things!
So many different squares! I love the cauldron and ghosties!
I like how you changed little things like the colors in the jack-o-lanterns and the witches hats to make them look different, (yet all symmetrical).
A very awesome blanket!
Great job!
15  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Woodstock Peace Afghan on: August 29, 2014 09:53:25 AM
I finished my So You Think You Can Dance swap projects and sent them out to HSG.

This is the Woodstock Peace afghan. I saw a t-shirt online with this image on it so I copied the photo and uploaded it to knitpro to graph it.

Its tunisian crocheted with a size J cabled afghan hook. After it was done I outlined the word PEACE in black yarn so it would stand out better.

I added a flowered sequin necklace for Woodstock and crocheted four butterflies which can be removed and pinned anywhere she likes.

In the comics Woodstock only speaks in various keyboard symbols like %#*!
So the center of the flower Woodstock is holding says Shalom (Peace in Hebrew).

I copied this word onto paper with iron-on glue in the back. Then I ironed it onto fabric. Then I sewed that onto a crocheted snowflake that kinda resembles the star of David.

The back is super-soft fleece. I used my sewing machine and it got kinda bunchy in places but I still think it turned out ok. I made my own label at the bottom there.

Thanks, pottermouth!
You know, HSG made it so easy because of her Pinterest page. There's so much on that it was simple to make out a list of things I wanted to get done for her.

And besides, she "likes" so much you really can't fail! LOL!  Cheesy

It's posted already! Woo!

" what pattern you used for the crochet shrug?"

I winged it! I saw one made with a sort of thick embroidered fabric. It was all just one piece that was folded over and sewn to create sleeves and I thought, gee, I think I could crochet something like that. So I did! I made myself a blue one with fuzzy blue yarns so I would have one to go by if ever I wanted to make more. (I joked to HSG that mine looks like I have cookie monster arms!)  Cheesy

I love the snail! So cool!
The plague doctor is my fave. His expression is so great. That face.
The Great Traveler is super! So much stitching. WOW!
