and after looking for ages in what i thought was everywhere, i actually found freezer paper at the loblaws beside my house! i think the loblaws family of stores caries it. it was turned, so the short end was sticking out of the shelf, not the wide side (it's hard to see on the shelf for that reason) good luck!
oh man you are so talented! these totally rock. i'm not surprised you got into school - i am blown away by these!!!
i *love* your use of newspaper. i think it's my favourite element of your work. the devil/god piece is absolutely stunning and the pop-up book is just incredible! it must have taken you ages, and your attention to detail is really really perfect.
i'm totally bookmarking this for future inspiration!
oh it looks so much better now! great idea for those shirts with the slippy straps. i always wonder if they were meant for girls with double-height shoulders somehow.
hey, your stitching totally looks fine. are you using a ball point needle? there's a certain needle (a ball point) that apparently you're supposed to use when sewing knits. i found this out after a lifetime of not using that needle, and always thinking my machine just didn't like me very much. the needle like.. punches the fabric a bit and deals with the stretchiness. i wonder, cuz it looks like your machine did those crazy things mine does when i forget to change my needle out. or decide to mess with my tension which i don't think i should ever ever ever touch.
