11  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: ron paul r(evol)ution shirts on: July 07, 2008 07:27:47 AM
what a creative and brilliant play on words! i love it! Smiley

i would also like to know your new way. i bought freezer paper but haven't stenciled anything intricate cuz i want to be able to use it again and again if i put that much work in.
12  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Re: My first dress! Infinity dress for summer! on: July 06, 2008 09:59:46 AM
Ran into a couple of physics-defying issues (cut circle out for waist - circle cutout was same as waist measurement, hole somehow wound up being at least double...how is that even possible??).  Fixed that issue by cutting a wedge out of the skirt so it is a semi-circle skirt, which I like better anyways.

Cheesy

this is exactly what happened to me when i made mine!!! i'm not even kidding. and i fixed it the same way, and also liked it much better. most of my sewing depends on those kinda flukes Wink

i love the colour and the fabric. is it just jersey knit? it looks very shiney

very nice Smiley
13  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: My Prom Dress, Finished the morning of prom :) on: July 05, 2008 07:44:37 AM
this is one of the most unique yet beautiful prom dresses i've ever seen. i absolutely love it, especially the asymmetry of it. you did an amazing job! and you looked absolutely stunning on your special night! Cheesy

totally hitting this rocks! and bookmarking for future inspiration. i love love love the part that's pulled up to reveal the white underneath and the black lace on the one 'boob'.
14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Easy Breezy Wrap Pants Tutorial on: June 30, 2008 09:00:49 AM

These are fantastic and I've NEVER seen them before.  Not made this way and not with a tutorial.  I think that person was bitter because they didn't come up with it first  Grin

I can't wait to try it!  Thanks so much for sharing!

um, i don't think that other poster was bitter at all! she complimented the OP on the pants, and then was just letting her know that if she does see craftsters making the same pants and selling them, it doesn't mean they've ripped off this tutorial, because there are tons of tutorials for the same pants online (and there are - she was mistaken by calling them thai fisherman's pants, those are different, but i've seen these exact pants a hundred times online - the OP even said there's nothing that hasn't been done before)

remember, craftster is a friendly sharing place! let's not start calling names or jumping to false, negative conclusions about people. it just does not belong here! Smiley

that said - thank you so much for posting a tutorial! and i really do love your style - the ones that don't go all the way down to the ground are so stylish i love them! i may have to find some wicked bedsheets and make a pair! thanks again! Cheesy
15  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Fork bracelets: thanks St. Vigilio!! :D (huge imgs) on: June 29, 2008 08:41:36 AM
i love love love them! Cheesy

what you did with the beads looks great - really adds to the whimsical design.

how did you do the first one, with the two forks? did you solder the ends together? it looks really pretty!
16  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Photo box: the coolest thing I have EVER made! on: June 27, 2008 10:59:05 AM
hey thanks so much for the explanation! i'm totally going to make one of these - hopefully before we move in august so it's easier to move all my photos Cheesy
17  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Re: FOC and the buyout on: June 26, 2008 07:16:10 AM
Guess my thinking is that now (whether right or wrong),with it not being an individual ownership that perhaps my subscription really means nothing in the grand scheme. Undecided

this in a way relates to my question on this subject - i am not a FOC yet, i've been meaning to sign up for the past year (oh jeez! it really has been that long!), should i still sign up now? are you still needing and looking for FOC's? i don't mind that craftster's been bought out - i can totally see how that's for the best in the long run. but are the FOC's still a big part of revenue for the site, or a big enough part of revenue to keep us signing up for it? cuz i totally will if it's needed!

thanks leah and sweets, and all the mods, for your hard work. you've made this my favourite little corner on the great big internet Cheesy

this is sooooo cool!!! Smiley

i have hundreds of photos - i'm kinda obsessed with photography, and am always looking at more ways to store and display that aren't the traditional albums. i love it!

did you figure it out yourself or follow a tutorial somewhere? i think i could figure it out from the photos, but of course if there's a tute out there that would be lovely! Cheesy
19  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: a photo of my turtle on: June 11, 2008 07:14:10 AM
beautiful!

turtles are so hard to get, too! i have so many blurry pictures of my little craig (who looks to be about the same size as your little crumpet - great name, btw Cheesy ) and i went to school for photography!

i agree, take that not out of your sentence, lady Smiley the evidence proves otherwise
20  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Superquick summer necklace with link to mini tute on: June 03, 2008 09:44:54 PM
