1  COOKING / Dessert / Super good muffins on: November 06, 2007 07:59:44 AM
So I got this recipe from Hungry Girl - You use one box of devils food cake and one can of pumpkin.  Mix together and then bake at 400 for 20 minutes.  The stats are fantastic considering I love some fattening muffins!  (depends on type of cake mix, but somewhere around 3 grams of fat and 180 calories) and they are So so so good!

Plus a pretty picture of the muffins:
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Raggidy new purse, pseudo directions now included. on: October 26, 2007 01:14:59 PM
My aunt had the neatest little purse that she had learned how to make when she bought her super cool new sewing machine and took a class to learn how to use it.  Well, she showed me how to make it the other day and these are the results after a lot of laughing and cussing.  I am eager to make another!

The straps can be pulled so it is a yellow bag, a different look:  Straps pulled so it is a green bag, and it has bonus inside pockets!

3  UNITED STATES / Mississippi / Oxford on: October 24, 2007 01:09:53 PM
So, I am moving to the Oxford area.  I would first and foremost love to meet some craftsters because I will have no friends and I am a sad and lonely person without friends.  Second of all - tell me where to live!!!  I will be working 6 miles outside of the city limits and I need some place good and cheap that will let me have a dog.  Preferably not an apartment.
4  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / DORMANT: ban plastic shopping bag crochetalong on: May 01, 2007 07:00:17 AM
I am feeling inspired by the ban on plastic bags in San Francisco.  I recycle my plastic bags from the stores, however, I hadn't thought about all the energy (OIL) that goes into making these bags.  I plan on making several for my friends and family to reduce our impact!

I found this pattern (you have to sign up to get it) from Lily and wanted to start a crochetalong.

If you have another pattern that you would like to try for a reusable shopping bag - feel free!  I would love to have the link, my goal is to find the easiest to make, sturdiest bags possible.
