I received my package, and I love it!

First up is Mortimer, a fuzzy green monster with piercing yellow eyes and a very nice purple bow tie.


My cat Peppers likes Mortimer a lot.


Peppers, no! Bring him back!


Luckily for everyone, Mortimer likes cats, and not just as dessert.  They will get along fine.  It's a good thing he's so small though, otherwise their roles might be reversed.

And now, the absolutely stunning extra:  Dan, the dapper Ood!


He is super duper detailed, and handsome.  Check out that argyle vest!  And his tiny fedora!  His pants even have a crease down the side.

Sent!  My little things should arrive within about six business days.  (ON to IL isn't that far, I was hoping it would be less...)  Fingers crossed that they arrive in one piece!

Oh my goodness, all of these are fabulous!  I am beginning to feel like my monster might not be up to snuff... everyone else's are so creative!  I love the details everyone has put into them!

Whoops.  Things went a little sideways, and I wasn't able to mail this weekend.  But photos have been taken, and all I need to do is find a box for the monsters and get my dear sweet fiance to mail them for me. I will make every effort to get them out tomorrow!

I am done my monsters!  Now to make a light box so I can take some decent pictures.  I should be mailing this week, Saturday at the latest.

I have completed my monster!  And my extra is very close - I should be able to finish this weekend.  I have to say I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself.  I hope my partner likes them~!

Can't wait to get started on my monster this weekend.  My partner is okay with wool so I am going to take a stab at needle felting.  I am brand new to it but already love it!

I am making great progress on both my main and my extra.  Out to the store tomorrow to pick up one final supply, and then I should have everything I need to finish.  I might even be able to send out next week if I can keep this pace up!

Whew, so glad I made it!  I have been itching for a swap lately, couldn't make it into the Doctor Who one.   But I love OTT swaps, and I love monsters!  I am pumped.

You could also consider Freecycle: I believe this would be the right one.  Join the group and post a wanted message, or keep your eyes peeled for people offering.  I've given away my fair share of yarn on my local Freecycle, though I don't see needles as often.  If you find the right charity shop, you can find needles pretty cheap too - there's one place in my area that sells them for 50 cents a pair, but there's another place that wants 2 or 3 dollars.
