1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Leaf in Acrylic! on: December 16, 2009 07:10:34 PM
I had fun using a new texture medium, some latex resist, and a new metallic technique I read about.  It was great fun!

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Bee Journal on: December 16, 2009 07:04:26 PM
First attempt at making a journal using the coptic stitch! I am very proud of it. I forgot to take some photos of the inside, but I did the inside cover with a red paper for contrast. I torched the edges of the signatures for fun.

Thoughts/opinions appreciated!

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Ex Libris Stamp on: December 16, 2009 06:57:48 PM
I have been looking at custom Ex Libris stamps online recently, and finding nothing that suited my budget, I decided to try my hand at stamp carving!  I used a SpeedBall kit from Michaels and designed the stamp with my pen name.  It didn't turn out how I had imagined, but I am happy with it in any case.

I marked my entire library with the stamp! I am so excited to have designed this with such success.

Please share your thoughts/opinions!
4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Caution: May-or-may-not-be-offensive FETUS ART!! on: April 09, 2007 01:44:11 PM
Well. This certainly was a day of boredome during my winter break a while back, and now I've finally gotten around to posting it! So here are some fetuses that I made. ^_^

I made alluminum and paper bodies so that I wouldn't use up all my precious polymer.   Roll Eyes

Sorry if it's offensive. I'm sure there are some people that can appreciate the alternative types of art.

Tell me what ya think!
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Get yo' boogie on! on: April 08, 2007 08:37:05 PM
Well there was once a bag called the Booga Bag. I'm not so sure as to how it got it's name, but my best guess it the crazy stripes. I attempted the booga bag as a novice knitter, and here are the results!

This is the original bag the the Noro Kureyon yarn. Now i feel like a doof because I thought I could save money by not shipping and substituting the Lion Brand Landscapes, a wool/acrylic blend. Bad decision on my part. I could have bought some pretty striping Noro with the money I spent on the blasted Landscapes!

The original with Noro Kureyon:

Thanks for looking!
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Lurker's Very First Post! YAY FOR ME!! on: April 08, 2007 07:51:11 PM
So yeah I have been a lurker for a couple years, and I'm a posting n00b. lol.  I have pretty strange hair that I love to adorn with beads and things, and I decided to make these thingies with some broken necklaces.

I used heishi beads, sterling silver bugles ( i didn't bother cleaning them. I think it adds interest) some Mother-of-Pearl birds and free form chunks, and one of them has a little turquoise piece at the end! I had fun. So yeah; here they are:

YAY! that was easy... I hope the links work. Tongue
