LOL

The doc is originally from New York. So we had the whole examination in English... We have a whole buncha tests to take, which I hope will be obsolete once we get into the acupuncture... I just hope we can spare her my history - my ear infections fudged up my left middle ear so I often get dizzy for no reason and if my eyes are closed you can push me and I won't know I'm falling until I hit the floor. Quite amusing, actually - sorta like cow tipping.
If all goes well she will be back in daycare tomorrow, and I am going to see how Yiftah responds to just a nip of vodka to give me some crafting time  Tongue

Mele Kalikimaka. Now I know how to spell it, too, thanks!

Welcome home and Meli Kelikimaka!

I have to take Neta to an ear specialist today... her pediatrician thinks she will need surgery  Sad
Tomorrow we are going to be starting acupuncture in a heroic attempt to prevent it.

Rumor has it that I'm good at all sorts of crafty stuff, but from the way things have been going here, you wouldn't think it...
35  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: spinners/knitters/crochetiers swap gallery on: December 24, 2007 01:41:16 AM
Oh, woot indeed! I'm having what can be called the cr*ppiest week (month? season?) ever, and my silver lining came yesterday in the form of a package from inle_rah.
My goodness. It is just so freakin' awesome!

First of all, a batik handbag in colors that just lift my spirits so much, and koolaid for my nasty little dyeing habit:

And another lovely handknit bag, made from silknoil, with a batik lining, and as a bonus, York's peppermint patties, which are probably on the top ten list of things I miss about the US.

And last but most certainly not least, the most beautiful skein yarn I have ever laid eyes upon (posing with a bottle of Eucalan, which may well become another regular item on the list of things my dad will have to bring on his visits):

Of course I had to take it from both sides:

It is so soft and beautiful. When my husband suggested I make something for one of the kids I said that this one is for me me me. Not sharing. No way.

Thank you so very much for spoiling me absolutely rotten. It couldn't have come at a better time!
36  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / Re: One last scarf before Christmas (pic heavy!) on: December 23, 2007 07:58:13 AM
It's hard to which part of this post is more awesome - the roving? the yarn? the scarf? the husband that shares a fiber stash with you?

It's a beautiful scarf, and I would jump on it too, so more power to Ellie!

I can't believe it!!!  Angry

Now my daughter is coming down with something flu-like or other. I am this close to hiring somebody else to finish my spam package for me.

Pardon my language, but what a heap of parrot droppings!!!

I'm proud to say I have barely made any progress since I was looking forward to the babysitter's arrival.

This week, when she comes, the US Patents and Trademarks Office will be closed, so I will have none of that stupid "work" to get done while she's here and I can focus on the important things in life like spam and suspenders.

Just wisted me that box set.

When's the next time I deserve a present?
