The minimum crafting is 1 large item and 2-3 small items.  Use your best judgement.  If you are inspirationally stricken otherwise, this is just a guideline.  Talk to your partner if you want to do more or pm me if you are confused.

Also, if you don't have a camera or the ability to post pictures let me know so I can pair you up with someone who does so everyone can see the wonderful crafting.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / quick-n-easy no pattern dress on: August 31, 2008 10:28:17 AM
so my 16th birthday was about a week ago, and this saturday i took my friends to Upstairs on the Square for some afternoon tea in town.
(for those of you who live near boston, here's a shameless plug for the Boston TeaCup)

more importantly, i realized i had nothing to wear the night before.  this idea for a dress had been bumping around in my head for a while, and i had a length of blue drape-happy cotton.
hence my tube/xmas bow/party dress.  i didn't have time for straps, but i might add stuff in for support to make it a better strapless dress.

the dress took about 4-5 hours (while watching buffy Roll Eyes).  i really like how it turned out.  i wore brown boots with it so it was more casual, but it could easily be dressed up with some pearls and sparkly flats.

questions?  comments?

5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Go, Speed Racer, Go! on: May 19, 2008 04:35:58 PM
so i've been thinking...

i just went to see the movie and got super hyped up on speed.  racer.  Cheesy
a speed racer themed swap would be the best.  i'd really like to do it during the summer, maybe one large and a few smalls?  there's plenty of material from both the new movie and the old cartoon series.

anything from a mach 5 purse(idea here) or a little stuffed speed.

anyone interested?  i'd be available to host.
6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / fading pages in books on: July 18, 2007 08:15:51 PM
i picked up this free book from my school library, it's about radar and lasers.  i love the book shape, and there are really cool diagrams inside which i want to keep.  plus i really don't want to attempt to put new pages in.

so i was thinking, there has got to be some way to fade the text and images so that it is easier to write on top and channel my deep and brilliant thoughts.

maybe something involving bleach or some other solvent?  thanks in advance for any pointers, i really have no idea where to start on this one.
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / First Bag Attempt - Blue and Froggy (w/ imgs) on: July 03, 2007 10:14:35 AM
This bag has been bouncing around in my head for a while, so I decided to give it a shot.  This is the first bag of mine that has manifested into an actual thing, and I'm pretty proud of it.  It's made from a blue tee and some white fabric that was laying around my house.  Picture time!  I apologize for the blurriness and ugly floral backgrounds.

The bag in general is pretty simple, there's plenty of space for added decals and buttons.  You'll have to trust me, it's not as blob-like as it seems.

The inside, it has one pocket and is big enough for the necessities.

Action Shot!

Thanks for looking, and feedback is much appreciated XD
