ooh!  i had a birthday party that was underwater themed once, and we had jellyfish.  the kind that my mother made hung from the ceiling.

what you need: silver and white ribbon, different sized bottles, strong scissors.  it's simple, and i drew a pretty diagram.

if you use different size and color bottles, it makes a shimmering ocean of jellyfish hanging in your dining/living/whatever room.

wow, these are just amazing.  now all i have to is go find some compacts, but in the meantime the stack of waiting picutes all ready to paste on will grow to an abnormal size and take over my desk.

the 70s clip art is just exploding my mind.  in addition to using those in an inventive way, i love how you used the 'shimmery' ink and stamped over them.  at least i think that's what you did.  anyway, i hope they get put to good use, because i always end up saving pretty cards like those and never end up using them.

ah, thank you for sharing!  i'm always making wallets, and end up giving the experiments to my friends.  but so far i've only been using fabric with interfacing.  i've been meaning to try out some paper ones, thank you so much spifferifikness for the video.

about the mod podge silkscreen info, i've tried it once, and the results were pretty good for a silk screen substitute. here's my not so great picture, i still have the stencil lying around somewhere.  (side note, this eventually turned into a nice bag, and yes, that is roy mustang.)

wow, i wasn't actually expecting such an easy meal.  has anyone tried this with ground turkey?  whenever i've made tacos, the turkey tastes much better, but if you're not adding any flavoring, then maybe not?

a tut would be most appreciated, as i tend to use (TMI) a lot of pantiliners.  do you put an absorbant whatsit inbetween the two fabric layers?  and i'm not that good at sewing round either, although i'll have an interesting time explaining this to my mother.

as mentioned above, the Venetian Carnival is real big.  Another useful site: http://www.bauta.it/index-en.asp.  It's got tons of pictures and explanations about the Carnival.  You could hand them out (again as mentioned above), or put them on the invitations with some curlyques or something.

Looking at your backdrop, it looks like you're doing Venice at night.  The black and gold are really nice together, are you planning a color theme?  That could mean something like black tablecloths, gold(lowbudget) cutlery, etc etc.

The whole garden thing, if there's a stage or DJ or whatnot, you could decorate the sides with garlands/flowers/the like.
