1  Re: Altoid Tin Themed Swap-Round 11 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by supersolar on: September 05, 2008 04:25:32 PM
here it is!  i got my package yesterday and absolutely adore it to death Grin

Corwin chose my homestarrunner.com theme.  for those of you who are unfamiliar, it's a website with a host of cartoon characters made by two brothers.
anyway, i got her addicted Wink.  she made a felt strongbad head, a pompom pompom Smiley, homestar and cheat shrinkydinks, and a "horrible painting", even though it didn't fit in the tin.  hehe.  the tin is also adorable.  AMAZING.

2  quick-n-easy no pattern dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by supersolar on: August 31, 2008 10:28:17 AM
so my 16th birthday was about a week ago, and this saturday i took my friends to Upstairs on the Square for some afternoon tea in town.
(for those of you who live near boston, here's a shameless plug for the Boston TeaCup)

more importantly, i realized i had nothing to wear the night before.  this idea for a dress had been bumping around in my head for a while, and i had a length of blue drape-happy cotton.
hence my tube/xmas bow/party dress.  i didn't have time for straps, but i might add stuff in for support to make it a better strapless dress.

the dress took about 4-5 hours (while watching buffy Roll Eyes).  i really like how it turned out.  i wore brown boots with it so it was more casual, but it could easily be dressed up with some pearls and sparkly flats.

hey guess who's new to the neighborhood?  his name is thomas the jaw surgery bunny.  he enjoys water aerobics and gouda Smiley  he was a gift for a friend who just got jaw surgery (imagine that!)  for packaging i made fringy tissue paper grass sticking out of a brown paper bag.

ooh!  everything is so cute here!  i'm sorry i held the swap up, my computer's insides got too dusty so it broke XP.
umheried spoiled me with such a fantastic package, i kept pulling things out, it was packed!  goodies!

a crocheted whip which i promptly swung about the house, some Canadian candy (yum!), and pretty stones to put on necklaces and such Cheesy

a bag with pictures from the movies, a travel diary (with another picture of Indy!), and an awesome scroll container with hieroglyphs and runes(?) on it.  SO cool!

besides this picture being horrible and not doing the shirt justice, it's a black and red hoodie that says "I said NO camels!".

in short (round Smiley), WOW.  i lovelovelove my package.  thank you umheried and thank you kelda!

6  First Bag Attempt - Blue and Froggy (w/ imgs) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by supersolar on: July 03, 2007 10:14:35 AM
This bag has been bouncing around in my head for a while, so I decided to give it a shot.  This is the first bag of mine that has manifested into an actual thing, and I'm pretty proud of it.  It's made from a blue tee and some white fabric that was laying around my house.  Picture time!  I apologize for the blurriness and ugly floral backgrounds.

The bag in general is pretty simple, there's plenty of space for added decals and buttons.  You'll have to trust me, it's not as blob-like as it seems.

The inside, it has one pocket and is big enough for the necessities.

Action Shot!

Thanks for looking, and feedback is much appreciated XD
