3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Resources on: October 23, 2007 10:19:05 AM
wanted to share something I created for all us Sculpey fanatics!

First off, let me explain, I work part time for Mahalo and am on the Hobbies team.  So, I create pages for hobby-related things.  I have been given free-reign to create any pages I wanted to....so, of course, I had to make a page on Polymer!

Here it is:
http://www.mahalo.com/Polymer_clay

You might find some good information there...hopefully!
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My first STAR blanket and cute little hat! on: October 15, 2007 08:14:56 PM
So I HAD to make a star blanket after Knichole sent me one when she angel'd for me.  I loved it so much, I had to learn......and I was surprised at just how easy it was once I got the hang of it.  Smiley  I had a girl from my husband's work as me if I would make it in baby blue's and make a small newborn size hat to go with it.  She liked some of them I had made in the past for my kids and wanted me to make this one the same style, just smaller.....so here is the results:

In baby blue, yellow and white (the white and blue have the silvery shimmer in them):

and the cutest little hat ever!  I can't wait to see pics of the newborn baby in it!  Smiley

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Flower Fairy-Princess Wand on: September 20, 2007 10:01:06 AM
My daughter is in her fairy/princess faze and she needed a wand (or at least I decided she did).  So I made her a flower wand.

Here's what I did:
Painted a dowel with some lavender paint and then wrapped a pretty sparkle ribbon down the dowel.  I took a pretty fake flower apart and hot glued it to the top of the "wand".  I took more sparkle ribbon and tied it around the dowel at the very top, directly under the flower then added some glue to it so it wouldn't come un-done.  Smiley  voila!  A beautiful wand...simple and from start to finish took about 20 minutes..including dry time!  Smiley  Great for Halloween costumes!

and here is the action shot...but I couldn't get my daughter to take her eyes off the TV...she was watching Barbie Island Princess....lol
