41  My First Painting, Japanese...... in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by MnkyMama on: May 29, 2007 03:27:16 PM
So here is my first painting and yet another addition to my Japanese themed living room.  Smiley  I borrowed a book from the library on Japanese Calligraphy and there was so much to choose from....I chose the symbol for Family.  I covered the edges with a black fabric.  What do you think?  I just gotta hang it on the wall now.  Smiley

I have so many ideas of what to get her.....hhmm....if you get some plain cloth diapers, you can add a cute trim on them to decorate them up and they make the BEST burp rags.......I used them with all 3 of my kids.....and now that they are growing out of them I use them as rags...lol.....another thing.....I made a cute diaper changing bag......it folds up easy.....here's a pic:

or you can make some taggie blocks/blankets:

my son loves them....for some reason babies love tags!  Smiley  those are SO easy to make...if you want a tut I can make it up for you.

43  Re: Capri Sun Backpack................. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by MnkyMama on: May 22, 2007 12:36:14 PM
It is really easy.....
(1) drink your CapriSun's....then cut a slit across the bottom to open up and wash it very well.  Let it try out (takes a few days..otherwise you get water all over yourself!)
(2) I use a thin piece of material over them and iron to flatten out....works much better than if they are all bumpy!
(3) I place each next to one another, overlapping the seams, and use a zig-zag stitch on them....it holds well and looks awesome!  Smiley
(4) Then it is up to your imagination as to what to make...I've made so many things...I love the purses and now my backpack.  Smiley  Here's one of my purses.......I have another that has a lining in it....i'll get that pic up soon enough.  Smiley
