It is very important to oil your machine after several hours of use! I found this out the hard way, it locked up on me. I always oil the rod that moves the needle up and down. I too have a kenmore and love it! I also got the sears maintanence plan. It's well worth it, the service dept screwed up twice and broke my machine and sears bought me another one and upgraded me too to a better one.
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / sharing pic of girly pink & white purse on: April 19, 2007 11:08:41 AM
Yep, I'm still making purses. This one has 2 pockets on the outside front. On the back, 1 large pocket with velcro closure. The inside has 3 pockets sized for a cell, pens, and misc. On the backwall there is a smaller pocket with velcro closure. Yep, I like velcro, it's easy and stays put.  Grin

The pink one is a seersucker, the white is a crinkle cotton eyelet.

They all have a zippered backwall pocket and 3 other pockets (contrast fabric) in the lining. Also a magnetic snap closure. The last one I left 1/4 of the contrast fabric showing on purpose for a different look.
