11  Triangular Handbag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by MaireAine on: August 10, 2005 05:13:26 PM
I'm on vacation at the moment so thought I'd whip together a bag that I've been promising my sister for months!  Well, here it is ... I'm quite pleased with how it's turned out.  It has a snap closure and there's a small pocket inside for her cell phone.  Any and all feedback would be appreciated!

12  2 new purses! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by MaireAine on: August 10, 2005 08:00:55 AM
Here are 2 new purses I've made over the past couple of weeks.  The names are inspired by the source of the patterned fabric.  Lauren = Ralph Lauren upholstery fabric.  Anikka = fabric from IKEA!

13  Felted Sophie Bag in Knitting: Completed Projects by MaireAine on: February 20, 2005 03:57:27 PM
I am thrilled with the results of my first foray into felting!  The wool came out of my mom's stash, and she got it for cheap, cheap, cheap at the thrift shop!

The pattern is from http://www.magknits.com/warm04/patterns/sophie.htm, and it was super simple!

14  Hat & Scarf with a little something special in Knitting: Completed Projects by MaireAine on: November 18, 2004 06:17:05 PM
Earlier in the week I posted pics of my newly completed hat and scarf and said that I was going to applique a snowflake to the hat. Great idea ... but instead I decided to try my hand a knitting a flower! Here is the result ... I think it looks quite smashing!  (the pattern for the flower can be found on the fabulous Knitty.com

15  Hat & Scarf in Knitting: Completed Projects by MaireAine on: November 15, 2004 09:23:46 PM
Just finished my most recent hat & scarf. They're worked in Ornaghifilati - Land in colour #103 - an icy blue on 6.5 mm circular needles.  Had to knit the hat twice ... first time it was way too tall!  I think I'm going to applique a snowflake to the hat ... make it a little special.

UPDATE (Nov. 17):  Instead of appliqueing a snowflake, I decided to try my hand a knitting a flower! Here is the result ... I think it looks quite smashing!  (the pattern for the flower can be found on the fabulous Knitty.com
