ok, so currently my bed is very blah. it is a straightforward rectangle with absolutely no style. here are some pictures to help you get the gist...







i would love to have a bed more antique victorian, such as...

does anyone have any creative ideas how to achieve this look? or am i better off buying a new bedframe??

Ok this is my first "bath and beauty" thing...
i LOVE audrey hepburn-especially in breakfast at tiffany's- so i made some glam audrey scrub for my friend. the scrub itself is just olive oil and brown sugar, but i really like the way the bottle turned out. i just traced audrey's pic on some notecards, glued them on, sealed it with modge podge, and tied a little ribbon. comments welcome.

have you ever gotten a package of blank cds?? you know the rack that it comes on?? well i was bored so i pasted pics from an old charlie and lola coloring book on one and now it's used as a great necklace holder!! YAY! i just hung it on a nail in my wall. heres some pics...

i was bored so i took my knockoff black chucks and painted/stitched on them... whadaya think??

i just mixed acrylic paint with temperate and actually used my makeup brush to paint b/c i couldn't find any real brushes .

hello all-

here are all the revamped/recycled crafts in my room. they were created anywhere from a year ago to yesterday. i hope everyone enjoys them! comments are appreciated.

first up, i revamped my old 6th-grade woodshop project with some yellow paint and a LOT of glitter. (sorry for the shaky image)



second, i took an old jar and splatter-painted the insides.




and last but not least, i recycled my old tilt perfume container into a pencil/paperclip holder! also shown: a mini flowerpot i painted with nail polish. it's hard to see but there are purple, red and gold stripes.

hello all-
OK I'm not sure if this is supposed to go here, put its apart of my room...

I'm trying to make a "glam"-themed room for myself (think chandeliers and Audrey Hepburn) so I've made/upgrade certain things to give a glitzy touch. my challenge for my fellow craftsters is to send me any possible ideas or crafts to complete my luxurious look.

Here are my projects...
1.a "breakfast at tifffany's" magnet
2.a glam dispay of gold-painted seashells (hand-done) and vintage chains
3.an old jar repainted in silver and glitter by me (sorry for the shaky image)

this slice of cake was so simple and really fun. everything is felt with the exception of the side frosting (cotton balls)and sprinkles (beads). YUM!!

ok so today i thought i would try my hand (no pun intended) at Ukrianian egg making. well, there was a freak dye accident and my hands ended up like this- 

- the day before EASTER! i've tried everything to get it to come off... no luck so far.
My sister had it worse however. When dying the egg in a jar we had to put on plastic gloves (like the kind lunch ladies wear) and stick our hands in to hold down the eggs, since they float. My sisters glove had a hole in it, and she was unaware of it until she took her glove off after soaking the egg- and her hand- in orange dye for 15 MINUTES.    it was bad.
