1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: oh sombra zine distro new webpage on: October 17, 2004 11:43:04 AM
Wow...your site does a number on my eyes.

I think that having some of the things on the page in a non-uniform (in your case what looks freehand) font is fine, but everything is a little hard and tiring to read.  I work in front of a computer all day, staring at text upon text...so my eyes are very sensitive to these things, and I tend to leave a website right away if it's giving me problems...no matter if the content is excellent or not.  The background is very busy, especially when you get over to the 'zines' and 'about' sections and have the large polka dots in the background, and the smaller polka dots in the frame.

I do like is the frame in the middle, and the top menu is very good (home, zines, etc) and looks nice in the freehand with the outlines.  But that is the only place that I think you should have freehand.  Everything else would be better in a standard font.

I hope this advice helps somewhat!

check out Ooey Gooey Banana Ghosts.  Even if you don't make them, the articles from this site are a trip to read.   Smiley

I think I would be willing to pay $7-8 for an 8" pecan pie.

What are your costs for a single pie?

how about a sparkler bouquet?

You could pair it with some large tissue paper flowers...would blend in perfect with the paper lightie things for sparklers!
