1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / branching out on: July 18, 2007 09:17:26 PM
i generally make my own patterns, work without them, or use free patterns online.  i'm curious what everyone's favorite pattern (to buy) sites are--i want to make some new stuff Smiley
2  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Any sandwich ideas? on: July 26, 2005 01:39:45 PM
i loooooove sandwiches.
a modification of the grilled cheese sandwich:
 -meunster cheese
 -bread and butter pickle slices
 -dijon mustard
-bacon if you like it (already cooked)

then proceed as you would to fry up your regular grilled cheese

or, being from jersey, we have kickass tomatoes in the summer.
though i am not a tomato eater because the texture grosses me out, i never fail to have at least one tomato sandwich each year:

white bread
slices of tomato

mmmmmm, it is SO good.

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / DIY blocking board on: July 11, 2005 04:40:30 PM
i'm trying to get serious and finish my projects properly--i'm making a dress that requires some blocking.  i'm short on cash as usual, and i was wondering what surfaces are good for blocking, or if anyone has made their own blocking board.
any help is appreciated.
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Crochet me's Fleuri bag on: April 04, 2005 07:53:09 AM
i didn't have patience enough to line it.  i think i used an f hook, it was the smallest hook i had, with a chunky worsted wool.
no adjustments were necessary.
i like a big bag, so i loved the way it turned out.
have fun!

9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / ISO jerry orbach xstitch on: March 05, 2005 05:33:24 PM
hey all-
as i am a huge fan of law and order, i wanted to xstitch an homage to lenny briscoe.  does anyone know if a pattern like this exists, or ways to go about making one?

10  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Crocheted Shrug ~ Any Interest? on: February 25, 2005 10:47:44 AM
i was always curious about the first one.  on the model, it looks as though it would fit awkwardly if her arms were down.  i hesitated to start b/c i thought it might look frumpy.
