Have a safe trip, mimi! Where in SC will you be going? I grew up in Charleston and miss it dearly. 

I will be in Bluffton, at my parent's house for most of the trip but my brother is finally graduating from CofC so we will spend at least 1 weekend in Charleston.  I lived there for 12 years and miss it tons too.  I would give anything to be back there!!

Also, I cloth diapered my son too and knit him longies and shorties.  So, if anyone wants to be claimed for some, put it on your list!!  Especially since it is something I can work on while I am on my trip!

I am obsessed with this Heather Bailey fabric and couldn't resist making a quilt out of some

Super simple design - just strips cut into 14.5" squares.  I quilted it on my new Janome Memory Craft and it made things so super easy.  My husband is 6'2" and holding it above his head in the pictures just to give you an idea of size.  I think it is 54" wide and 78" tall.

Well ladies, I think I am going to miss half of this round.  We are finally listing our house for sale tomorrow and Wednesday my son and I are driving to Jacksonville to look at homes and then to SC to hang out with my parents.  I won't be back until May 16th.  I will be following the discussion thread though so I can keep up with all the chatter!

I received from YumJello01 the other day.  She claimed me for artwork and sent this wood burned welcome sign and a canvas with paper birds on a line.

I haven't had AC upstairs in 3 days and it is getting fixed now.  It has been 88-90 and miserable up there!!  And to make things even worse - my BRAND NEW sewing machine had a part break off on it yesterday too!  Ugh, when it rains, it pours!

What part broke on your new machine ? I broke the upper knife on my serger about a month after I got it, irritates the crap outta me when something new breaks like that. I at least hope it's an affordable and easily replaced part.

It hasn't been too hot recently thank goodness!

It was the lever to raise/lower the presser foot!  I called today and they are sending me a new machine

It pains me Mimi to think of someone without a sewing machine ! I know I'd go absolutely bonkers if mine broke and I wasn't able to get a new one immediately. LOL
