aww, it's sweet.  also, please note that this board uses bracket tags [ ] instead of carrot tags < >.  i.e.: < img src-=""> becomes image code

cut two rectangles and sew along one long and one short edge to form the hood.  poke down the point to make a flat seam and tuck the two ears in it, then sew them in.

13  post-apocalyptic corseted long sleeved tee. that's a mouthful. in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by girlypirate on: August 20, 2005 04:50:12 PM
lacing in front:

or in the back!:

and the best part is that the white cotton blend jersey material was $1 a yard.  so $1 of fabric, $2 of eyelet tape, and $1 of ribbon = $4 of shirty goodness.  w007 for thrifty!

14  Re: The Hipslinger (aka The Fanny Pack)**TUTORIAL added!!** in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by girlypirate on: July 21, 2005 06:17:26 AM
i made one too!  material is a vintage bedsheet and lined with the same, trimmed with some cutwork eyelet lace.  girly!

mine ties on with a bow for the time being, but i have intent to sew two d-rings on one strap's end to make it cinch-able and non-snatch-able.

he's my first attempt at drafting a pattern for a three dimensional stuffed animal.  i'm excited.  he's also a belated birthday present for a friend.

he's so cuddly.  and yes he's supposed to look quite peculiar.

17  tyvek pencil case in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by girlypirate on: June 19, 2005 12:50:14 PM
it's simple, but gets the job done.  made using the zippered pouch tutorial and my brand new zipper foot.  two pieces of tyvek postal envelope and 1 thrifted green zipper= my new pencil case/makeup bag.

20  crochet rasta hat with brim in Crochet: Completed Projects by girlypirate on: May 31, 2005 09:36:13 AM

i made this from three colors of acrylic with a size G hook.  it's single crochet, a granny-square inspired middle, and more single crochet.  very simple, but i'll work out a pattern if anyone's dying for it.
