I just rediscovered this cute thing and I'm thinking of making one... and I can't figure out how you were able to make this in one solid piece with a big opening on top... but I can see from your stitches that you didn't change direction while crocheting... I feel a bit stupid now... so please, could you give some advice about how you made the upper half? Please?
I had no idea people wanted a tute! I'll definitely try to get one together shortly! That'll be easier than doing my murloc pattern (which I lost all my notes on) haha. I just got married and moved so my things are kinda all over, but in the meantime I can at least tell you this:
I did sort of change directions, in that I crocheted with the "front" facing away from me, bringing the hook in from the "front" and back towards me so that I could work backwards (down the row), but keep the stitches facing the same way, does that make sense? I did that for one side of the bag when I needed to start forming the opening, and once one side was done, I slip-stitched my way down to the other side and began there too.
That sounds really messed up I know, but I'll post a better explanation when I can write up a tutorial haha.
I guess I'm really lazy in that I love to make things in one or as few pieces as possible >>;
