I am having my mom pick up some romance novels from the give away shelf in my hometown library (I have yet to find a give-away shelf at a library in Mpls) and I'll be trying this out this coming week. Thanks for the great tutorial - I am excited to try this!!

I really liked this mirror but have no where I could put on in my apartment. Instead, my bf and I are making a table inspired by the soda-can mirror. We bought a $7 table at a thrift store that is just a black metal frame with a glass top. We cut a piece of wood the same size as the glass and are going to paint it black and make a cool design with just green/bluish soda cans (sprite, 7-up, fresca, sierra mist, two kinds of ginger ale...and one other I can't remember right now. We are in the process of collecting cans. When it's finished I'll be sure to post pictures. Our fingers are crossed that it turns out! Smiley
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Wizard of Oz party on: April 18, 2007 08:46:53 AM
We are throwing my Grandma a 70th Birthday party and we decided to use the theme "Wizard of Oz" (her favourite movie). So far we are having all the girls wear red/sparkly shoes, we have a cut out of Dorthy we are borrowing from a local store, we are making a scarecrow and a tin man, looking for a lion (?) and we are making a yellow-brick road on the sidewalk into the house.

Any more ideas would be greatly appreciated: Decorations, Food, etc.
