1  woodland creatures.. UNITE! in CHALLENGE 20 ENTRIES by dinopower on: August 05, 2007 10:47:15 PM
hi! my animal friends are all protesting to save the trees! yay! it's kind of a cheesy bag, but I'm a cheesy person, so it all works out  Grin
I didn't make the actual tote bag, but I'm reusing this one since I didn't like the design I painted on it a couple years ago.

indeed, the bunny got smudged (i had no pink felt). I have no idea what happened, but I've come to embrace him.. he looks kind of tye-dyed I guess... Smiley

There were so many animals I wanted to include, but my bag is kind of small (i don't do the groceries much Tongue), so I made more animals on the sides

thanks for looking!

2  The Pumpkin Queen of Hallowe'entown!!! (img heavy-ish?) in CHALLENGE 19 ENTRIES by dinopower on: July 05, 2007 03:00:55 AM
hi!

Many of you guys probably recognize the "Nightmare Before Christmas" reference here. I love the movie and polymer/paper clay, so I figured I would try to make a Burton-esque sort of crown... Okay, on with the pictures!

My computer is kind of on the fritz, so it's hard for me to tell if the pix are blurry... I think they are, but I tried to take several pictures and these ones were the clearest (I'm not the Queen of Photography, that's for sure Cheesy). Anyways, it's SUPPOSED to be a small figure up top wearing a crown, seated on a spider surrounded by a fence that has skewered heads/jack o' lanterns.

phew, I actually messed this crown up several times but in the end, I'm quite happy with it (Perhaps I'll rename myself the Queen of Happy Accidents?)

thanks for looking!

3  Lady Luck (kinda image heavy) in CHALLENGE 18 ENTRIES by dinopower on: May 06, 2007 05:07:29 PM
Hi!
This is my first challenge... very exciting Smiley. Anyways, unfortunately, out of the millions of ideas I had, I thought I would go with the one that was the "most original", but ironically, it turns out someone else made a pretty cool slot machine way before me! At first I was kicking myself for not making my original idea, but I figure they both are quite different looking, so it's all good.

It is slightly rough around the edges, but I don't like to measure things out! Nor do I really know how to sew properly, so it was mostly hot glue-gunned. Ah well, I guess we can say it gives it "character", right? Thanks for looking!

My tribute to Penny Slots:
