I have had my sewing machine since 2004, and it has never been serviced, and it's only been cleaned once.

I'm really worried I'm going to jinx myself here...

I've had my sewing machine since I was 12 (I turn 31 next month) and I've never had it serviced, oiled or cleaned.  I do blow the dust/fabric bits out of the bobbin area though.

Sewing Gods, please don't strike me down now that I've admited it!

fyi - my rice cooker always undercooks short grain brown rice.  I do that on the stove top.

In case anyone is interested in knowing, I emailed the company that has the cowl kit and they said the pattern by itself will be available later this season.

The moorehousefarm top you seem to only be able to buy as a kit, and I just want the pattern right now.  What I love about this pattern is the dropped shoulder.  And the cowl neck, of course.  But its the two together that I love.

this one I love, love, love the diagonal pattern. There's a link to the magazine, but its in japanese.  It says its charted (which I've yet to knit from a chart, they scare me!) but I don't even know how to order from amazon in japan, nor do I know how much it costs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I got my first one at Borders.

I really like that!  especially the thick/long ribbing at the bottom.  Is that your own pattern?

That is just beautiful!  Did you just cast on the original 16 stitches in the pattern or use more?  ~Tricia

I used 26 stitches.

That is so pretty, I actually just made a scarf with the same stitche pattern! Maybe I will post mine.
