1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Decked Out for Deathly Hallows Swap Gallery on: November 13, 2010 07:17:37 PM
Okay, I finally got around to taking pics of the wonderful stuff I received from Britters25!  She already posted pics, but here are a few more!

First the food!  This is from Honeydukes, so cool!

Next, Malfoy's wand in an awesome homemade box and some dark mark temporary tattoos from my Wists!

Then the awesome Puppet Pals and Bag!  I have already had lots of people envying my bag when I take it out.  And my 3-year-old loves to play "guys" with the Puppet Pals (he gives me Hermione).  I have had to place them out of his reach so I can be sure to find them for the premiere.

Finally the wearables.  These seriously rock!  I love the hoodie so much and the little details like the zipper pull - it's a hand - are so cool!  Sectumsempra is favorite spell and I love the shirt.  The hand warmers in Slytherin colors are very toasty, I will be taking these on X-mas vacation to South Dakota!

Here's an "action" shot of the T-shirt and gloves.

And one of the hoodie, ignore my weird face, I totally love it!!!

Yay I'm glad you like it!  My stenciling technique is rubbish compared to yours though, sorry about that! Smiley

I will wear whatever my partner sends me in this swap, but I'm not going to dress up as a character - there aren't any I can think of that are fat..

I have thought that too, but your comment made me start thinking of possibilities.  There are, at least, Millicent Bulstrode, Molly Weasley, Professor Sprout, Madame Maxine, and the portrait of the Fat Lady.  I may have to start working on a Millicent costume for myself...

I'm very tempted to hit up a thrift store for a pink prom dress and an oversized picture frame...

That would be awesome!  Carrying around a picture frame all night would be cumbersome though.  Maybe if it was made out of cardboard or foam core.

Great cross-stitch!

The Bat'leths are polymer clay rolled flat and then cut with an exact-o knife.  I tried to make them look more like metal by adding a glossy topcoat.

Boo to the postal service for breaking the tip off.  I wonder if I didn't bake the clay long enough, since it shouldn't be that breakable?

Glad you liked it!  I figured you can put in on a purse or backpack if you don't like huge cell-phone charms.  It's probably not strong enough to be used as a zipper-pull though.

Yay, Gerbilgal posted pics of her awesome keychain!  It is very cool and my husband loves it!
