1  Re: Decked Out for Deathly Hallows Swap Gallery in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Bluemopitz on: November 13, 2010 07:17:37 PM
Okay, I finally got around to taking pics of the wonderful stuff I received from Britters25!  She already posted pics, but here are a few more!

First the food!  This is from Honeydukes, so cool!

Next, Malfoy's wand in an awesome homemade box and some dark mark temporary tattoos from my Wists!

Then the awesome Puppet Pals and Bag!  I have already had lots of people envying my bag when I take it out.  And my 3-year-old loves to play "guys" with the Puppet Pals (he gives me Hermione).  I have had to place them out of his reach so I can be sure to find them for the premiere.

Finally the wearables.  These seriously rock!  I love the hoodie so much and the little details like the zipper pull - it's a hand - are so cool!  Sectumsempra is favorite spell and I love the shirt.  The hand warmers in Slytherin colors are very toasty, I will be taking these on X-mas vacation to South Dakota!

Here's an "action" shot of the T-shirt and gloves.

And one of the hoodie, ignore my weird face, I totally love it!!!

Here is the awesome loaded charm bracelet LiveLongandCraft sent me!  I really love it.  Can something be both beautiful and bada$$?  'Cause this totally is.

Here is a picture with the locket open to reveal a gorgeous pic of Draco. Smiley

And here is the lovely little box it came in and a note that says: An "S" for Slytherin, a Voldemort charm, a locket w/ your loved one, a snake, and a skull (just for general badness)  Smiley

Thank you so much LiveLongandCraft!  I am wearing it today at work and can't stop admiring it.  Smiley

I'm excited to start crafting!  I know what you mean about reminding oneself it's a Trek swap.  I'm trying to not look too much at all of the Harry Potter lovelies on pinkleo's wists!  Smiley
Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
I know what your thinking.....I'm so cool! Wink Cheesy
(or perhaps I'm so geeky..my hubby would agree to that! Grin

I was thinking that you are so cool!  I am a bit of a Potter fanatic...I may make costumes (at least wands) for the new movie.  Although after making Trek uniforms a couple years ago I swore I would never sew another stitch...it's so hard!

As far as being a geek, well it takes one to know one doesn't it?

(for explanation of the ears my husband is wearing, see http://www.brunching.com/images/geekchartbig.gif.  He was the geekiest of all geeks.

4  Re: Polymer Clay Covered Altoids Tin Clay-along! in Craftalongs by Bluemopitz on: April 07, 2009 05:15:46 PM
Cool!  I had no idea this thread existed, so I'm glad you resurrected it.  I made one of these a year ago, but I didn't know other people were doing it too.  Some of these are so awesome!  I like the combining of resin and clay too, nice idea.  I feel like doing some more of these now.  This is the one I did last April for a tiny thing swap:

Rainbow..are those ceramic cupcake containers in the background there..

I think you're talking about the little pink cupcake candles.

The uber cute wine glasses (sorry, bad lighting. But soo cute!)

I know how hard it is to photograph those glasses, but I did get a decent shot eventually.

I'm glad you liked everything Rainbow_Storms!  I had so much fun crafting for you.

I received some awesome stuff from Rainbow_Storms!  Here are a couple of pictures.  Excuse the bad photography, my homemade light box doesn't allow me to get the colors to show correctly.

She made a shrinky necklace, an adorable stuffy/pin cushion, a clutch-style make-up bag with a really cool button closure, and a painted picture frame.  She also drew a really cute cuppie on the card.

She and I agreed to do 2 mediums and 2 smalls since neither or us is really a large item crafter.  Here is a close-up of the items.

Thanks for being a great swap partner Rainbow_Storms!

7  Polyclay + Mini Altoid Tin in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by Bluemopitz on: April 16, 2008 11:39:36 PM
I made this for the One Tiny Thing Swap, but I wanted to post it here as well to get some more feedback.  Hope you like it!

The front has a tree in earth tones and the back has geometric shapes in bold colors with her initials.

It has a jump ring so it can be used as a keychain/pendant/ornament or whatever.

I got word today that craftgirl_sampson has received, but is in the process of moving.  She said I could go ahead and post pics for her.  Here is what I sent.

It is a miniature Altoid tin covered in Polymer Clay.  One side has a tree and is in natural colors, the other is bold geometrics with her initials on it.

I added a jump ring so it can be used as a key chain, pendant, or ornament.

9  Faerie Box in Completed Projects by Bluemopitz on: March 13, 2008 10:05:11 PM
I made this last year for a friend's birthday.  I'm finally getting around to posting pictures.  It is a faerie box.

I got some of the ideas from the "___ in a box" thread.  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=20191.0

I decopaged a wooden box with some faerie/fantasy scrapbook paper and embellished with feathers, moss, stickers, rub-ons, and gold paint.

Then I crafted/embellished/bought things to put inside.  Clockwise from bottom:
Tiny Faerie Flower Pots, faerie magnet, plain ceramic faeries for decorating, faeire/bird house, decorative bottle, faerie dust, butterfly magnet, garden notecards, faerie hat.

I also included a variety of colored polished stones.

I was pleased with how it turned out and hope she liked it.
There are more detailed pics in my gallery http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showgallery.php?ppuser=92463&cat=500, but I didn't want to overload the post.
