1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: I just opened my Etsy.....are the prices ok? on: July 09, 2007 12:48:01 PM
I think the brooches are beautiful, but I think $10 - $15 would be more reasonable.

I used plastic grocery bags once.

I shreded them as fine as I could.

It worked out alright, but it lacked the softness that polyfill has.

Love that moose!

He makes me giggle.

Or click here if the picture doesn't work...

He sort of put himself together as I have the tendency to just let my artwork/plushies control their own destiny. And unfortunately for Illfuff, arms weren't a part of his "divine plan."

He is the biggest plushie I've made so far. And he is the first I've made that hasn't been made 100% out of synthetic felt, instead he is made out of a hideous but soft scarf, wool felt from an old cardigan, cotten from an old t-shirt, a scrap of synthetic wool and polyfill.

All sewn by hand whilst enjoying tea and season two of Weeds.

I love the concept!

Nicely done too.

All digital?

Thanks a lot for the support and ideas, guys!  I think I'll talk to my parents about "crossing over" soon.  It should be easier once summer rolls around, since I'm mostly on my own then, anyways.

I wouldn't worry about giving up seafood (if you want it, I have a really good recipe for tofu fishsticks that are divine)

How exactly do tofu fishsticks work?  I'm kind of... really skeptical of tofu, but I've never had it.  I'll try anything at least once, but I keep pushing tofu further back on my list of foods to try. ahah

Tofu is tricky.
Most people who hate it because they didn't like the seasoning or the texture.
If you season it with spices or sauces that you like, it'll soak up the flavour.
Without seasoning tofu is pretty bland. I don't endorse eating plain tofu, especially if you're a tofu virgin.

An easy and yummy way to cook tofu is to crumble it up and saute it with olive oil, oregano, basil and garlic, then add it to tomato sauce.

I sort of cleaned my room today and found a collage I did a few months ago.

The title pretty much explains it all.

Hope you like it.
