21  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Storing Felting Needles on: March 31, 2013 12:08:35 PM
I have many of mine stuck in piece of cardboard.

The inside of cardboard has the perfect grooves for storing needles.

That looks great! I love the idea of the gate... that would have come in very handy!

Thank you,

I have three boys and a wonderful husband and I know just how often fathers and boys are underrepresented at times. Many of my creations end up being boys actually (to the dismay of my daughter at times).  Wink

Thank you...  Grin

and yes, the lack of facial features on these little dolls I believe truly leaves the emotions and expressions to the imagination..  Smiley

Most of my creations seem to come in pairs. This one is a mom and daughter pair that reminds me of myself and my own little one.

The ring sling was crocheted to measure and fits them both perfectly...

The mom's dress top can be moved out of the way to nurse... (yes, she has breasts Wink )

Wow... amazing!

I just finished my first cat and I started to give it long hair and then gave up! So much patience..

A few questions Smiley So do you lay down each layer and then cut the extra whisps?

I also love the ears! do you have a wire in them or are they simply felted?

28  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Needle Felted Mice Parent and child with Crocheted Mei Tai baby carrier on: March 30, 2013 04:48:13 PM
I love making these mice...

These two are so cute together and I knew I had to make a Baby carrier for the parent to wear the little one and a Mei Tai seemed like the perfect match.

Yes, there is a space for the little ones tail!

The MT was crocheted with sport weight wool sock yarn on a 2.2 hook.

Thanks for looking!!

These two looked like they were going on a walk on a cool evening so I had to crochet and knit some accessories for them..

Dad has a Crocheted Vest...

Son has a Knitted scarf..

They are both posable... and Dad, is about 4 1/2" tall and his son is about 4"

thanks for looking!

Thank you so much everyone! I will have a hard time seeing him go. As you know, there is a lot of work that goes into making these creations!
