1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / How do I get visitors to stay longer on my site? on: February 14, 2010 01:30:49 AM

I have Google Analytics and it reports that people only stay for about 1 minute on my site www.flia.se

What am I doing wrong?
2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Is this thing even sellable? on: January 05, 2008 05:06:50 AM
Hi,
I've got gigabytes of patterns on my computer, mostly crochet and knitting. They are all free and can be downloaded by anyone. Some are from groups that I've joined, but anyone can join and get them. I've also checked everyone for copyright rules.

So I thought maybe I could categorize them and sell cd's, only charging for my work and a few cents for the CD. Ebay is the place I think.

Do people even want this kind of thing?
How much could I charge for my time?

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / English speaking crocheters on: September 07, 2007 03:36:01 AM
I have a design for crocheted window spirals with beads that I want some help with.
I've done the major translation, but I'm not at all used to English crochet terminology and what phrases to use.

Does anyone want to help me with this. In exchange you get the pattern for free.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Handles on a scarf on: July 20, 2007 02:07:56 AM
I've made a beautiful large triangular scarf that is supposed to be worn to a party.
I made a band from the remaining fabric.
I'm trying to figure out how to sew on loops to put round the arms (or maybe shoulders) and/or forearms to keep it in place. It's made out of thin cotton so I won't be able to just sew on the band anywhere.
I don't know yet how I'd like to wear it, either with a knot in front or hanging over the forearms.
It's very big, and covers almost the whole back.

Any suggestions?
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Help me with my english please. on: July 11, 2007 07:37:29 AM
For transporting my earrings by post I use... what?
The scrapbooking term is "brads" but apparently not everyone knows what that is.
In Swedish the thing for closing mailbags is called something like "postal pin" or "virgin legs".
Does anyone know the correct term? I'm searching both for british and american english.
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Plastic french wire and earstuds on: April 08, 2007 01:30:34 AM
Hi,
Does anyone know where I can buy plastic (acrylic) french wire and earstuds. Also plastic clipons (or similar).
I'd like to make my earrings totally metal free.
