i discovered "sublime stitching" and am addicted!! i embroider the fabric and sew it into a wristlet.

whew! two days of sewing and i now have a new laptop bag!

i saw this fabric on a project here and fell in love with it. i knew it wouldn't take the abuse i give a laptop bag, so i used iron-on vinyl, which wasn't easy to use (i had to get a teflon presser foot so it wouldn't pucker. definitely recommend it!!)

it’s a bag I made when I needed something for a friend’s wedding. Hanging from your wrist, it looks like a bouquet of flowers, and also looks cute sitting on the table!

The base is made from stiffened felt, then covered with “stems” made from green velvet. The top form is felt, also, then I attached silk flowers. Finally, a silk dupioni ribbon “ties” the bunch together. The top lifts off (there’s a grommet in the center of the top where the handle comes out of. The handle is anchored to the bottom of the base).

i made this bag for my wedding. my fiance loves daisies and i love pink. i created the image in photoshop, the printed it on fabric. i beaded and sequined the flower and my mom helped me embroider one "he loves me".
