I've found that different CD brands generate different results, some have big shiny bubbles others produce millions of teeny-tiny bubbles. The results vary and with any and every craft of this nature trial and error is the only way!

happy Crafting!

Oh and Thank you so much on being voted top craft of 2010!!!

P.S. this necklace *just* sold my friend bought it for his wife for Valentines Day. <3

How did you break it? Weird question, I  know, but I once tried to break a CD and had to heat it with a hair drier and cut it with scissors. It was terribly time consuming and tedious.

Your necklace is lovely.

Thanks. I just used a heafty pair of scissors and some elbow grease. because my pieces didn't have to be any particular size or shape it didn't take me too long, but then again, I have no concept of time...

Well I break it first, and be careful, the edges are sharp and the foil can come off the plastic. I then baked it for no longer  than 5 min (probably about 3) just enough to melt the edges and bring out the bubbles. Be careful again, the plastic is crazy hot, but it will be pliable for a few seconds after removal if you need to manipulate it at all, move fast.

Thanks for checking it out!  Grin

I roll them using a small knitting needle. It's funny I have a whole box of my grandmothers knitting needles (she knitted very fine pieces, so they're all quite thin) and I don't knit, instead I use them for things like this  Grin

Thanks  Grin

They're such fun to make, I roll the beads while I watch movies, and then deciding how to put them together is the super fun part!
